Observation On Efficacy Of Treating Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Herniation With Inner Heat Acupncture On Jiaji( EX-B2) Along Lumbar Vertebra

Objective:Observe the differences in clinical efficacies of two programs,named heat acupuncture group and elctro-acupuncture(EA for short) group,in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Both intra group and inter-group were observed in several indicators.We elaborate the possible mechanisms of heat needle acupuncture of lumbar Jiaji acupoints on the lumbar disc herniation,to explore appropriate treatment of this disease,and to provide a reliable basis for further in-depth study of inner heat needle therapy. Date Materials and Methods:In this study,we collected the data of 46 patients with lumbar disc herniation from May 2014 to December 2014,those who came to Wuhan Tongren hospital and were received in hospital.They were divided randomly into Heat group and EA group,23 cases in each group. Retrospectively analyzed the treatment of two groups,made clinical and lumbar JOA assessment,classified lumbar disc herniation by TCM syndrome,specifically referred to“Chinese disease diagnosis and efficacy standards”.Carefully studied the operation method,observed and visited the patients,evaluated the efficacy from several aspects,such as the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scores of lumbar,VAS score,lumbar flexion range(LFR),and Chinese disease diagnosis and efficacy standards. Results:46 patients were received follow-up for a period of 3~12 months.We observed their average symphysis time, after the treatment we contrasted Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scores of lumbar,VAS score,lumbar flexion range(LFR),and retrospectively analyze the lumbar function after treatment.We get the following conclusion after statistically analyzing the data of the two groups:1. The two groups in gender,age,disease duration,TCM syndrome had no statistical significance(P>0.05),indicating they can be compared in the clinical data.2. Before the treatment, there was significant difference in comparison to the score of JOA、VAS and LFR between the two groups(P>0.05),making clear that they can be compared in the clinical data.3. Two groups’ total JOA Scores of lumbar both improved after the treatment(p<0.01),but scores of the heat acupuncture group significantly improved than the EA group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Showing that both two groups have good curative effects,in improving the subjective symptoms,clinical signs and the daily activities,but the effect of the inner heat acupuncture is more better.4. Obseved the score of VAS of the two groups,they both decreased after the treatment(p<0.01),but the heat acupuncture group’s decreased more(p<0.01).The inner heat acupuncture improved the symptom of lumbago more significantly.In contrast to the EA group,the heat acupuncture group relieve the pain of patients with lumbar disc herniation better.5. The results of lumbar flexion range(LFR) showed,the score of LFR both improved after the treatment(p<0.01).Contrast the score between the two groups after treatment,the improvement of the heat acupuncture group’s did have statistically significance(p<0.01).Showing that although the two kinds of therapies can improve the LFR,but the inner heat needle therapy has a more obvious effect in improving the lumbar flexion range of patients with lumbar disc herniation.6. Contrast the clinical efficacy between the two groups after the treatment,the effective rate of inner heat acupuncture group was 100%.The EA group’s effective rate was 82.61%. The effect of the inner heat acupuncture is more better,and the difference is significance(p<0.01). Showing that the inner heat acupuncture have a greater effect for improving the functiong of lumbar activity,relieving lumbago,improving the daily work and life.Conclusions: Both inner heat acupuncture and electro-acupuncture have a therapeutic effect for lumbar disc herniation,can significantly relieve lumbago.They both have a certain effect for relieving lumbago and leg pain,improving the clinical signs and score of JOA、VAS、LFR,and make the daily life better.But in contrast,has the inner heat acupuncture has a greater advantage in those aspects above.
