Clinical Study Of Jiawei Bentun Decoction On Treating Generalized Anxiety Disorder Of Phlegm And Qi Stagnation And Thermal Disturbance Of Mind

Objective:To explore the Jiawei Bentun Decoction’s clinical efficacy and clinical adaptability to cure generalized anxiety disorder of phlegm and qi stagnation and thermal disturbance of mind,giving clinical treatment guidance to generalized anxiety disorder in TCM.Methods:Collected 60 patients diagnosed as generalized anxiety disorder in clinic and ward of encephalopathy, and divided patients into experimental group and control group randomly. The experimental group was Jiawei Bentun Decoction group combined with Deanxit, and the control group was Deanxit group.The course of treatment lasted for 4 weeks. The clinical effect was assessed by using the Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA) and self-made observation table for syndrome of TCM. Finally we dealt with the score results accordingly by using statistical methods to complete the clinical assessment of Jiawei Bentun Decoction on treating the generalized anxiety disorder.Results:1. According to the improvement of HAMA :the experimental group: 7 cases were cured, 17 cases were effective markedly, 4 cases were effective, 2 cases were invalid, the total effective rate was 93.33%; the control group: 3 cases were cured, 9 cases were effective markedly, 14 cases were effective, 4 cases were invalid, the total effective rate was 86.67%; the difference of two groups in effective rate was significant statistically(P<0.05). 2.According to the improvement of self-made observation for syndrome of TCM: the experimental group:11 cases were cured, 9 cases were effective markedly, 8 cases were effective, 2 cases were invalid, the total effective rate was 93.33%; the control group:4 cases were cured, 8 cases were effective markedly, 13 cases were effective, 5 cases were invalid, the total effective rate was 83.33%; the difference of two groups in effective rate was significant statistically(P<0.05).Conclusion:Jiawei Bentun Decoction has a significant effect for generalized anxiety disorder of phlegm and qi stagnation and thermal disturbance of mind, improving the anxiety, tightness in the chest, palpitation, insomnia and other symptoms, confirming the clinical effect of dialectical using Jiawei Bentun Decoction on treating the generalized anxiety disorder.
