Reaseach On The Clinical Application Law Of Waiguan (SJ 5) Acupoint In And Before The Qing Dynasty

Objective: Through systematic collecting literatures of Waiguan acupoint in and before the Qing Dynasty, analyze the law of clinical application to provide reference for clinical and research.Method: Using the “Chinese Medical Code“(2006 fourth edition) as the main search range to collect the relevant clauses of Waiguan acupoint and set up databases,then analysed the databases with the Mircrosoft Office Excel software.Results:Finally get 273 provisions conform to the standard, involving 44 ancient books. In 24 attending diseases treated by single Waiguan acpoint,there are 7 kinds of advantageous diseases;While in 56 attending diseases treated by compatibility with other acupoints, there are 16 kinds of advantageous diseases;In the 138 acupoints compatibility with Waiguan,there are 120 acupoints of fourteen meridians,16 extra-points,2 living acupoints; The main acupuncture technique are needling and moxibustion.The most commonly used acupuncture method in depth is three points, acupuncture time is seven breath, the quantification for moxibustion is three zhuang.Conclusion:The results of this study analyzed the application situation about Waiguan acupoint before the Qing Dynasty in ancient clinical,and provided reference for modern acupuncture clinical and scientific research.
