The Study Of Houxi(SI3) Acupoint In Ancient Clinical Application

Objective Through collating of literature about Houxi acupoint in and before Qingdynasty, summarizing the law of ancient clinical application. Method Using the researchmethod of TCM philology and DM (data mining) to screen the information of attendingdiseases cured by single Houxi or compatibility of it, acupoints compatibility and needling&moxibustion method, then established relevant database. Using IBM SPSS Statistics19.0software to statistic-analysis. Result In40attending diseases treated by single Houxiacupoint,18kinds of advantageous diseases were screened, while in55attending diseasestreated by compatibility therapy,22kinds of high frequency compatibility prescriptionwere screened. In166acupoints combined with Houxi,9are extra-points, the top fifteenpoints were Shenmai, Hegu, Wangu, Qiangu, Shenmen, Yanggu, Fengchi, Quchi, Jianshi,Yinbai, Zusanli, Xinshu, Baihui, Zulinqi, Yemen. Needling and moxibustion are the mainacupuncture technique. Conclusion The results are relatively comprehensive inintroducing the ancient clinical application satuation of Houxi, which have vital referencevalue for today’s clinical application and scientific research.
