Study Of Correlation Between Constitution And Syndrome Of TCM With Cerebral Infarction At Convalescence

Objective: Explore the relationship between the constitution and syndrome of TCM in Patients With cerebral infarction by investigating their distribution characteristics, in order to prevent the occurrence of cerebral infarction from the Physique point of view.Methods: The database was established via investigating the information of the patients who were at convalescence stage of cerebral infarction from 6 hospitals including Shandong traditional Chinese medicine hospital, Weifang traditional Chinese medicine hospital, Taian traditional Chinese medicine hospital, Weihai traditional Chinese medicine hospital, Penglai traditional Chinese medicine hospital and Rencheng traditional Chinese medicine hospital. The type of constructions of TCM was determined by The Classification And Decision Table of Traditional Chinese Medicine Constructions. Based on the SPSS17.0, the distribution of construction and syndrome was expressed by frequency, and the relationship between the constitution and syndrome of the patients who were at convalescence stage of cerebral infarction was investigated by the Chi-square method.Results: 1 The patients who were at convalescence stage of cerebral infarction were mainly found between the ages of 50-79. 2 The characteristic of syndrome type distribution for convalescent cerebral infarction patients was: Qi-xu-xue-yu 31.5%, Feng-tan-yu-zu 30.4%, yin-xu-feng-dong 22%, fen-tan-huo-kang 7.5%, tan-re-fu-shi 8.6%. 3 The distribution of the constitutions of traditional Chinese Medicine was: Qi deficiency constitution in 21.80%, phlegm dampness constitution in 20.84%, blood stasis constitution in 14.72%, Yin deficiency constitution in 13.19%, Qi depression constitution in 8.8%, yin-yang harmony constitution in 8.03%, Yang deficiency constitution in 5.93%, damp heat in 5.54%, and allergic constitution in 1.15%. 4 The syndrome of Qi-xu-xue-yu, were formed when people were in Qi deficiency and blood stasis constitution. Yin-xu-feng-dongwas commonly formed when the people were Yin deficiency constitution. People who were phlegm dampness constitution and damp heat constitution commonly forms Tan-shi-yu-zu, and both of them were closely related with Tan-re-fu-shi; People who were Qi depression constitution mostly formed Tan-shi-yu-zu, but there exits strong correlation with Feng-tan-huo-kang.Conclusion: The patients who were at convalescence stage of cerebral infarction were mainly the Qi deficiency and the phlegm-dampness constitution. And the syndromes of them were mostly Qi-xu-xue-yu and Feng-tan-yu-zu. There is an inherent strong correlation between the constitution and syndrome types of patients in recovery stage of cerebral infarction. And it provides the basis for the prevention and treatment of cerebral infarction on body.
