The OCT Observation Of Macular Area After Retinal Reattachment Surgery

Objective:The characteristic of optical coherence tomography image of the macular area when 6 months after retinal reattachment surgery.Methods: Review of clinical in November 2013 to May 2014 in Yi Ji Shan Hospital of Wan Nan Medical College for retinal detachment repair surgery of 50 cases,including scleral outer bar,external pressure and condensation in 27 cases,vitrectomy and silicone oil or gas tamponade in 23 cases.Selection of patients with preoperative and half-year postoperative have best-corrected visual acuity more than 0.02.Compare vision recovery situation of patients in different age groups and different ways of operation,and the characteristic of optical coherence tomography image of the macular area when 6 months after different retinal reattachment surgery. The quantification of these factors create the table, with Stata 12.0 statistical software for various groups of postoperative vision change for paired t test,and the characteristic of optical coherence tomography of the macular area in different retinal reattachment surgery for chi-square.Results:A total of 9 cases in 21-40 years of age of postoperative visual acuity increased by 0.098 on average( P=0.012).25 cases in 41-60 years of age of postoperative visual acuity increased by 0.096 on average(P=0.001).61-80 years of age 16 cases of postoperative visual acuity increased by 0.031 on average(P=0.112), all the patients of postoperative visual acuity increased by 0.076 on average(P<0.001). Postoperative BCVA of two surgery methods were increased,but there is no statistically significant difference(p=0.717).6 months after reattachment OCT macular image characteristic:(1)the macular area was normal in 6 eyes;(2)the macular edema in 17 eyes;(3)macular retinal thinning 5;(4)the separation of neuro-retina and RPEin 14 eyes;(5)the macular degeneration 3;(6)the macular membrane in 5 eyes.There was statistically significantonly just in separation of neuro-retina and RPE group.Conclusion:The OCT can clearly display the retina structure.It is the necessary auxiliary examination method in evaluating retinal morphology and function after retinal reattachment surgery.The two kinds of surgery for the patient’s visual acuity recovery is helpful,and the scleral buckling surgery is better than the vitrectomy in terms of the postoperative separation of neuro-retina.
