Objective: To explore the value of color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI)in the examination of the ophthalmic blood vessels of patients with cataract. Methods: 60 patients with cataract were divided into 2 groups, 30 cases with simple cataract group(Ⅰ group) and 30 cases with the cataract caused by chronic diseases group(Ⅱ group). 30 cases of healthy volunteers as the control group(Ⅲ group). The systolic blood flow velocity(Vs), end-diastolic blood flow velocity(Vd) and resistance index(RI) of the ophthalmic artery(OA), posterior ciliary artery(PCA) and central retinal artery(CRA) were detected by CDFI.Results: The systolic blood flow velocity(V s) and end-diastolic blood flow velocity(V d) of OA, PCA, CRA of Ⅱ group were significantly lower, vascular RI were significantly increased, the condition of low velocity and high resistance of blood flow spectrum. Compared with Ⅲ group difference was statistically significant(all P <0.05). The systolic blood flow velocity(V s), end-diastolic blood flow velocity(V d) and vascular RI of OA, PCA, CRA of Ⅰ group were no obvious changes of blood flow spectrum. There was no statistically significant difference compared with Ⅲ group(all P >0.05).Conclusions: Eye vascular hemodynamics change associated with chronic diseases, not cataracts.Application of color Doppler flow imaging can accurately reflect the changes of hemodynamics in patients with cataract ocular vascular condition, it provides an important reference for clinical value.
