Objective: To observe the levels of the serum lipid related index: non high density lipoprotein cholestero l(non-HDL-C), high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) in children with asthma especially in obese asthmatics children, we aim to discuss(1) to investigate the relationship between asthma and dyslipidemia, and the impact of dyslipidemia on the development of the obesity in children with asthma.(2) to help children and teenager with asthma especially also with obesity provides the basic theories for early intervention and early diagnose and treatment. Methods: The participants are selected from Ma y 2013 to December 2014 in the Pediatric outpatient and ward of our Hospital with asthma, the total number are 57 cases, the age range was 7.2 to 14.1. 35 cases are obesity children with asthma, including 20 boys and 15 girls, and the mean age is(10.50±1.94). 22 cases are non-obese children with asthma, including 12 boys and 10 girls, with an average age of(10.43±2.76). At the same time choose 38 cases normal children from the Pediatric outpatient clinic in our hospital, the age range was 8.1 to 12.9. In which includes 22 boys and 16 girls, and the mean age is(10.31±1.65). Record the participants, general information: height, weight, gender, age, and according to the data measured calculate the participants, body mass index(BMI), or weight / height of the square. BMI of 25 or higher or weight more than 20% considered obese. According to the level of the BMI the asthmatic children are divided into obese asthmatic group and non-obese asthmatic group. The children from the outpatient service(BMI<25,or weight in the range of standard) which set as the control group. All the children are taken 3 ml venous blood without eating anything. Then we will let the blood samples collected stand and separate the serum. Then the sample will put in the automatic biochemical analytical instruments, using the method of chemical extraction-ALBK detect total cholesterol levels, using the method of determination of homogeneous detection of high density lipoprotein cholesterol, and through total cholesterol minus the high density lipoprotein cholesterol, obtain the non high density lipoprotein cholesterol level. Record the results of all the indicators measured. Then all the data was analyzed by SPSS 19.0 statistical software.Results:1. The male and female ratio of the obese asthmatics group is 1.33 : 1, the male and female ratio of the non obese asthmatics group is 1.2 : 1, and the ratio of men and women in the control group is 1.38 : 1. The gender composition comparative differences between groups have no statistical significance(P>0.05). The average age of the obese asthmatics group 、 the non obese asthmatics group and the control group are(10.50±1.94)、(10.43±2.76) and(10.31±1.65), age to compare difference between groups have no statistical significance(P>0.05).2. The non-obese children with asthma compared to the obese children with asthma in the acute phase of the disease the cough and three depressions was lighter, more sensitive to the treatment of systemic corticosteroids, application a few days short, and the course was relatively short.3. The non obese asthmatic group and the control group in non-HDL-C 、TC 、HDL-C level analysis: the non obese asthmatics group serum levels of the non-HDL-C was 3.61±0.05mmol/l, the control group serum levels of the non-HDL-C was 3.26±0.06mmol/l, the level of the non-HDL-C in the non obese asthmatics gro up is higher than the control group,(P<0.05) the difference was statistical significance. The non obese asthmatics group serum levels of the TC was 4.74±0.04mmol/l, the control group serum levels of the TC was 4.52±0.03mmol/l, the level of the TC in the non obese asthmatics group is higher than the control group,(P<0.05) the difference was statistical significance. The non obese asthmatics group serum levels of the HDL-C was 1.13±0.01mmol/l, the control group serum levels of the HDL-C was 1.25±0.04mmol/l, the level of the HDL-C in the non obese asthmatics group is lower than the control group, the difference was statistical significance(P<0.05).4. The obese asthmatic group and non obese asthmatic group in non-HDL-C 、TC 、HDL-C level analysis: the obese asthmatics group serum levels of the non-HDL-C was 4.02±0.13mmol/l, the non obese asthmatic group serum levels of the non-HDL-C was 3.61±0.05mmol/l, the level of the non-HDL-C in the obese asthmatics group is higher than the non obese asthmatics group,(P<0.05) the difference was statistical significance. The obese asthmatics group serum levels of the TC was 4.91±0.10mmol/l, the non obese asthmatics group serum levels of the TC was 4.74±0.04mmol/l, the level of the TC in the obese asthmatics group is higher than the non obese asthmatics group,(P<0.05) the difference was statistical significance. The obese asthmatics group serum levels of the HDL-C was 0.90±0.08mmol/l, the non obese asthmatics group serum levels of the HDL-C was 1.13±0.01mmol/l, the level of the HDL-C in the obese asthmatics group is lower than the non obese asthmatics group,(P<0.05) the difference was statistical significance.Conclusions:1. Compared to the non-obese asthmatic children the obese asthmatic children symptoms are generally heavier, and the duration is relatively longer.2. The non obese asthmatic group has relative ly higher level of non-HDL-C and TC, and the HDL-C level was relatively lower. Serum cholesterol levels have an effect on asthma, the levels of non-HDL-C may be a potential risk factor for asthma pathogenesis and the influence factors of disease development, whereas HDL-C as a protective factors of asthma.3. The obese asthmatic group has relative ly higher level of non-HDL-C and TC, and the HDL-C level was relatively lower. That merge the asthmatic children with obesity is more closely of the relationship of serum cholesterol levels especially the level of non-HDL-C than simple asthma.
