OBjectives:As the most common sequelae of herpes zoster, the incidence of Postherpetic neuralgia has increased continuously in recent years.PHN refers to when the herpes zoster rash has subsided, the affected part still has pain and discomfort,a burning, tingling, jumping, knife local paroxysmal or persistent cutting pain, and continued for more than 3 months, seriously affecting the quality of life of the patients.A large number of clinical studies indicate that acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of postherpetic neuralgia has its unique advantages, and its clinical treatment for a variety of. This topic through the observation of electroacupuncture at paravertebral points plus gentle moxibustion treatment of postherpetic neuralgia and the clinical curative effect before and after treatment in patients with serum T lymphocyte su Bsets and serum immunoglobulin content change, as the EA paravertebral points plus gentle moxibustion clinical guidelines and provide a reliable basis for the application of treatment of postherpetic neuralgia. Methods:The subject of case study are from Wuhan City Department of Acupuncture Combined Chinese and Western medicine hospital outpatient and inpatient. Through the query method of random sequence according to the visiting sequence were randomly divided into the treatment group(acupuncture Jiaji points with mild moxibustion) and control group(Western medicine therapy), the treatment group(31 cases), control group(30 cases). Clinical observation on therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture paravertebral points plus gentle moxibustion in treatment of postherpetic neuralgia, pain, and the comprehensive efficacy of patients before and after treatment of serum T lymphocyte subsets of evaluation index, index concentration changes were statistically analyzed.Results:1.Comprehensive comparison of curative effect, The treatment group cured 23 cases(74.2%), effective in 5 cases(16.1%), effective in 2 cases(6.5%), invalid 1 case(3.2%), significantly more rate was 90.3%; the control group 8 cases were cured, 12 cases markedly effective, effective 4 cases, invalid 6 cases, significant healing rate was 66.7%. The results showed that the curative effect in treatment group was significantly better than the control group, two groups of more rate comparison of curative effect with significant difference(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of VAS pain scores of the two groups before and after treatment, the results showed that the VAS pain score before and after treatment in the two groups were decreased(P < 0.05), but the extent of the treatment group decreased more than the control group(P < 0.05).3.The treatment group compared with the control group, theanalgesic effect, the treatment group than the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05); at the same time, time to onset of pain relief compared two groups, the treatment group was shorter than the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).4.The treatment group compared with the control group before and after treatment the serum levels of T lymphocyte subsets, the two groups after treatment can improve CD3, the percentage of CD4 and reduce the CD8 percentage, but the treatment group in the treatment of CD3, CD8 and CD4, decreased significantly(P<0.05), the control group after treatment CD3, CD4, CD8 and treatment compared to before had no statistical significance(P<0.05); at the same time, the two groups after treatment CD3, CD4 were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05), CD8 was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05), with significant difference.5.Safety evaluation: two groups of patients was found during the treatment in the event of safety is more serious, suggest that EA paravertebral points combined with mild moxibustion for treatment of small postherpetic neuralgia and side effects, clinical application is safe. Conclusions:Jiaji Electroacupuncture plus gentle moxibustion has a more affirmative clinical curative effect of the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia, acupuncture paravertebral points plus gentle moxibustion therapy can improve the recovery of nerve injury, alleviate the obvious improvement of pain intensity, time of pain in patients with PHN, can significantly reduce the degree of pain in patients with nerve. At the same time, the treatment method has good regulating effect onimmune function of patients with the body, to further promote the recovery of postherpetic neuralgia patients. In addition, the treatment group and the western medicine group has analgesic effect of quick effect, no toxic and side effects, and acupuncture therapy has the advantages of simple operation, easy to clinic, is an effective method for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia.
