| Objective: This subject aimed to analysing and evaluating the curative effect acupuncture therapy by dispersing the stagnated liver-qi and regulating the spirit to treat the facial spasm, To observe whether effectiveness apply the acupuncture therapy by dispersing the stagnated liver-qi and regulating the spirit for the disease, thereby providing a new and more effective treatment for the facial spasm.Methods: Acupuncture treatment was adopted in 66 cases of patients with the facial spasm and randomly divided into two groups of each 33 cases. The treatment group were treated by Acupuncture therapy of dispersing the stagnated liver-qi and regulating the spirit The control group was treated by conventional acupuncture. It selected Zuanzhu(BL2), Quanliao(SI18), Taiyang(EX-HN5), Yifeng(TE17), and Ashi-point on the affected side and Hegu(L14),Taichong(LR3) on both sides. To observe the clinical effect of the two groups·Results: 1. Before and after treatment, two groups of the facial spasm intensity and the facial spasm frequency were significantly different(P<0.05), which indicated two methods in improving the degree of spasm all had curative effect. Further, after treatment two groups of the facial spasm intensity and the facial spasm frequency were compared between groups by the rank sum test,two groups were significantly different(P<0.05), which showed that in improving the degree of spasm the acupuncture therapy by dispersing the stagnated liver-qi and regulating the spirit was superior to the conventional acupuncture. 2. After treatment the overall curative effect of two groups had significant difference by the rank sum test(P<0.05), It showed that in general curative effect the acupuncture therapy by dispersing the stagnated liver-qi and regulating the spirit was superior to the conventional acupuncture.Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy by dispersing the stagnated liver-qi and regulating the spirit and conventional acupuncture were both effective methods to treat the facial spasm, but acupuncture therapy by dispersing the stagnated liver-qi and regulating the spirit was superior to conventional acupuncture alone. The treatment group have better effects than the control group on treating the facial spasm. |
