Bi Yuan Tong Qiao Granule Impact On Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrom And Nasal Airway Resistance

Objective:The topic under the guidance of TCM theory,we did the study by looking up information and organized cases,for further study obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(Snoring) in TCM(traditional Chinese medicine)etiology and pathogenesis.we investigate the relationship between NAR(nasal airway resistance) and pathogenesis of OSAHS(obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrom),Bi yuan tong qiao granule treats mild-to-moderate OSAHS, which has the function of releasing lungs, Dispersing wind and clearing away heat.We evaluated the therapeutic effect and Explore the feasibility of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of the disease.Method:The research object of the topic is screened,which are from 963 patients with OSAHS,which is from Henan province people’s hospital of sleep-related breathing disorder diagnosis and treatment center,which is hot and wind attacking lung syndrome by syndrome differentiation in TCM,and is mild-to-moderate OSAHS by Western medicine Diagnostic,This topic includes 60 cases which are randomly divided into two groups as the research object. the Patients do a NAR for daytime,and do polysomnography On the day of night.The treatment group takes Bi yuan tong qiao granule, control group takes Bi yuan tong qiao granule simulation agent. After a month,The research object reviews NAR and PSG,we Analysis of the correlation between the NAR and OSAHS, contrasting before and after treatment the NAR, PSG and symptom scores, establishing the clinical database,doing Statistical analysis, evaluating therapeutic effect.Results:This study includes 60 mild-to-moderate OSAHS patients with hot and wind attacking lung syndrome,which are randomly divided into treatment group and control group,after the inspection,the two groups are not statistical difference in gender, age, duration, height, weight,state And so on( P>0.05),they are comparable. We do correlation analysis in NAR with AHI, AI, HI, LSa O2 and micro awakening index before treatment for 60 cases of patients,There was no significant correlation between NAR and AHI,between NAR and AI,between NAR and HI, between NAR and LSa O2 (P>0.05).there are positively correlated between NAR and micro awakening index(P<0.05),there is a significant difference on NAR before and after treatment for The treatment group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference on NAR before and after treatment for The control group(P>0.05).There is a significant difference on micro awakening index before and after treatment for The treatment group(P <0.05),there is a significant difference on the epworth sleeping scale before and after treatment for The treatment group(P<0.05),there is a significant difference on Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) about nasal obstruction before and after treatment for The treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)There was no significant correlation for NAR with AHI, AI, HI, LSa O2,there are positively correlated between NAR and micro awakening index.(2)Through clinical research,we found that Bi yuan tong qiao granule could reduce nasal resistance and micro awakening index of mild-to-moderate OSAHS patients,by improving the microcirculation of nasal blood vessels,which may Improve the daytime sleepiness, nasal congestion and other symptoms,but it could not reduce the AHI index and not fundamentally treat OSAHS.(3)Taking Bi yuan tong qiao granule is one of the effective methods to treat OSAHS with the wind heat type on pulmonary,Especially for the patients with mild-to-moderate OSAHS,the effect is better.
