Efficacy Evaluation Of Bushen Shengjing Prescription On Patients With Idiopathic Asthenozoospremia Oligospermia

Objective: This study is to observe the curative effect of Bushen Shengjing prescription in treating idiopathic oligospermia with kidney essence deficiency syndrome by comparing the changes of sperm concentration,sperm quality and sperm function before and after the treatment with the control group(VE capsules and 21 gold VITA) providing an objective basis for clinical medicine treatment.Methods: 70 cases of idiopathic oligospermia with kidney essence deficiency syndrome were collected in the Reproductive Medicine Center of TCM and western medicine of the Hospital of Henan Province from January to December 2014. 62 cases met the inclusion criteria were included in the final statistic analysis which were randomly divided into two groups--the treatment group(Bushen Shengjing prescription) and the control group(VE capsules and 21 gold VITA) according to the random number table. The treatment lasted for 12 weeks from the first treatment. The changes of semen volume, sperm concentration, vitality, motility and sperm function(hypotonic swelling test, sperm acrosin activity) were observed, and the comparison between the two groups were made before and after the 12-week treatment. The objective evaluation of the curative effect of Bushen Shengjing prescription in treating idiopathic oligospermia with kidney essence deficiency syndrome were made by the statistical analysis and the mechanism were discussed.Results: Before the treatment, there was no statistically difference among the baseline data, vitality, motility,amount,consistency and sperm function(hypotonic swelling test(HOS), sperm acrosin activity)( P>0.05),and two groups sufferer data has comparable.After the treatment, the total effective rate of the two groups treated by Bushen Shengjing prescription was 62.5%, the control group treated by VE capsules and 21 gold VITA was 30.00%. After the χ2 test, there was significant difference between the two groups on total effective rate(P <0.05), and the treatment group isbetter than the control group.Two sets of data were statistically analyzed by before and after the treatment in the group separately, there was significant difference on the sperm density, activity rate, motility and sperm function(hypotonic swelling test, sperm acrosin activity) before and after the treatment according to paired t-test(P <0.05).By analysis and comparison,there were no significant difference in sperm amount of two groups(P>0.05).After the treatment, the two groups data were compared according to the t-test with different samples. There was significant difference on the sperm concentration,(P<0.05), and the treatment group is better than the control group. There was significant difference on Semen volume, vitality, motility and sperm function(hypotonic swelling test(HOS), sperm acrosin activity)(P>0.05)Conclusion: This clinical study showed that Bushen Shengjing prescription can significantly increase the sperm concentration, there was significant difference compared with the control group,and improve the vitality, motility and sperm function obviously on the idiopathic oligozoospermia with kidney essence deficiency syndrome, the curative effect can be significantly better than the control group.
