Objective: To analyse the clinical value of serum copeptin and procalcitonin(PCT) in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods:The serumal copeptin, procalcitonin, C-reactive protein were detected in 150 hospitalized AECOPD patients before and after the treatment. And to study the correlation above indexs with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease severity and the COPDAssessment Test(CAT), 6 minutes walk distance(6 MWD).Result:Comparing with after the treatment patients and healthy control group, serumal levels of the copeptin, PCT, CRP were significantly elevated in the patient with AECOPD before the treatment(t=4.798,Z =-6.356,Z=-7.492,P<0.01).Above indexs were significantly higher at after the treatment patients than healthy control group(t=4.809,Z=-5.415,Z=-4.495,P<0.01);Serum copeptin and CRP have a statistical significance in stable COPD classification(P<0.05), but the PCT had no difference(P>0.05).On further,, the level of Serum copeptin were increasing with the increase in the severity of the disease in a certain extent; The serumal copeptin were positively correlated with CAT(r=0.336, P=0.000),and were negatively correlated with 6 MWD(r=-0.350,P=0.000).Conclusions:Serum copeptin and PCT can assess the incidence of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and its therapeutic effect;Serum copeptin can reflect the severity of AECOPD patients in a certain extent, and has certain clinical value to evaluate the quality of life in patients. |
