| Objective:EDI SD-OCT(enhanced depth imaging spectral domain optical coherence tomography)was used to observe subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT) afeter successful reattachment more than one year,while diagnosed rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD), with eyes of low vision(BCVA<0.3), and analyze the correlation with low vision.Mehthods:Collect the cases of low vision patients after successful reattachment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD) more than a year from January 2010 to March 2014 in Nanchang Aier Eye Hospital. Cases with other eye diseases were exclude after the professional examination,72cases(72eyes) enroll into study.BCVA and EDI SD-OCT test for binoculus were carried out. Analyze the structure of outer retinal microm- orphology in the centre of foveal macular area and measure SFCT of binocu- lus.According to the testing result of EDI SD-OCT at the last postoperative follow up,the eyes with abnormal structure of outer retinal micromor- phology in the centre of foveal macular area was divided into three groups,ellipsoid zone with deficiency group, external limiting membranes with deficiency group,ellipsoid zone and external limiting membranes with deficiency group.Variance analysis compare the BCVAã€SFCT of three groups.Regression analysis were allpied to analyze the correlation between BCVA and SFCT,and the correlation between different groups of suffering eyes with abnormal structure of outer retinal micromorphology in the centre of foveal macular area and SFCT.Result:According to the the last postoperative follow up, SD-OCT show: among 72 suffering eyes, 3eyes’ central fovea of macula(4.1%)are normal; 69 eyes’ structure of outer retinal micromorphology are abnormal(95.9%), in which 25 eyes(34.7%) ellipsoid zone are atrophic and deficient, 23 eyes’ external limiting memb- ranes(32.0%)are deficient,21 eyes’ ellipsoids zone combined with external limiting membranes( 29.2 %) are deficient. The last postoperative follow up of BCVA show: CF/30cm-0.25,transforming to 5-mark record,the mean of BCVA was 3.59± 0.51.BCVA of healthy eye : 0.8-1.2, transforming to 5-mark record, the mean of BCVA was 4.94±0.11. The last postoperative follow up of SFCT show:SFCT was 81μm-273μm, the mean thickness was( 164.47±62.95) μm; SFCT of healthy eye was 180μm-332μm, the mean thickness was( 235.47±42.40) μm. According to the comparison of BCVA between suffering eye and healthy eye, there is a significant difference(t=-15.675,p=0.000<0.05). After comparison of SFCT between suffering eye and healthy eye,their difference has statistically significant( t=-5.613, p=0.000< 0.05).There is correlation between SFCT and BCVA of last postoperative follow up(r=0.587,p=0.000<0.05). The difference of BCVA and SFCT was no statistical significance between the three groups of the macular area of outer retinal micro structural abnormalities(F=2.03, 1.73, P > 0.05).Suffering eyes with three different groups of abnormal structure of outer retinal micromorphology in the centre of foveal macular area related to SFCT(r=0.453ã€0.472ã€0.420,p=0.02ã€0.02ã€0.04<0.05)。Conclusion:The Subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT)of visual acuity of low vision eyes after successful reattachment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment( RRD)more than a year are thinner than healthy eye and has some positive correlation with the BCVA of these eys.The SFCT is one of the important factors of affecting recoverys of visual acuity and outer retinal micromorphology in macular area after Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD).The thickness of SFCT provides an objective quantitative reference index for long-term follow-up of patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD)... |
