Objective:Application of frequency domain optical coherence tomography (3d-OCT) observation of idiopathic macular membrane (IERM) patients before the macular retinal morphological characteristics,measure the macular retinal thickness and its relationship with best corrected vision, to explore frequency-domain OCT of idiopathic macular membrane before clinical application value.Methods:Research patients that between January2012and December2012in our hospital diagnosed with idiopathic macular membrane (IERM),152cases (162eyes) patients were choose.Male patients have41cases (25%) and121cases of female patients (75%),Average age (59.22+13.06).All patients do the best corrected vision, slit-lamp, fundus color and frequency domain optical coherence tomography, parameters:the axial resolution of5microns, lateral resolution20microns, the scanning depth of2mm,Scan length adjustment according to the macular thickness,in the macular area centered on horizontal and vertical linear scanning direction,the horizontally from left to right, vertical from bottom to top, OCT display can show scans within1second, the typical image stored in computer, and Macular Thickness analysis software for nine partition mode analysis. OCT image characteristics of IERM is varying thickness high reflective tape on the surface of retinal nerve. Application of3d-OCT with analysis software for automatic analysis of nine partitions.Records of all patients in the macular area center concave1mm for the diameter of the thickness of the retina.Results:According to the OCT image observation of macular center concave shape characteristic, the152cases of idiopathic macular membrane (IERM) patients (162eyes) were divided into5groups:Macular center concave shape IS normal33eyes, board layer in22eyes,20eyes of pseudo macular hole,61cases of diffuse edema,26eyes sample pouch oedema, according to the situation of photoreceptor cells (IS/OS) complete IERM patients were divided into2groups:full set of94eyes light-sensing cells, photoreceptor cells not complete set of68eyes.Macular area center concave1mm for the diameter of the retinal thickness and best corrected visual acuity, macular center concave shape is normal (237.55±23.15) um,0.84±0.15, plate layer in (210.18±31.40) um,0.60±0.14, pseudo macular hole (255.40±28.60) um,0.61±0.17, diffuse edema (381.13±83.01) um,0.43±0.16, sac sample edema (395.85±78.17) um,0.29±0.19. Photoreceptor cells complete group (264.31±47.11) um,0.72±0.26,incomplete photoreceptor cells group (409.01±69.34) um,0.20±0.20. Eye we all get the best corrected visual acuity and macular center concave thickness related analysis, table1shows significant negative correlation between them, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01,r=-0.51), that is, the more macular center concave thick eyesight is poor. Photoreceptor cells complete thickness of macular central sunken under incomplete group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01), photoreceptor cells complete vision is much better than that of incomplete group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion:Macular morphology of IERM can be observed visually by frequency-domain OCT, quantitative detection of IERM macular center concave retinal thickness change, provides a number of retinal information accurately for clinical, provide a reliable means of detection for early diagnose and treatment of idiopathic macular membrane...
