Single Facial Rash Of Secondary Syphilis Misdiagnosed Cases And Literature Review

Objective:Syphilis is a highly social b class infectious diseases, rising in recent years the incidence of syphilis. Syphilis patients have brought great influence to the society and their families. Due to the diversification of secondary syphilis and atypical clinical manifestations and deliberately concealed medical history of the patient, misdiagnosed cases have occurred. Through one case occurred in the face of solitary lesions of secondary syphilis misdiagnosed cases and collected domestic Recalling misdiagnosed cases data analysis, to fully understand syphilis, improve the level of clinical diagnosis has important significance.Methods:Retrospective analysis clinical data of 1 case with facial single-shot spotted as the main performance of secondary syphilis misdiagnosed patients, and review the relevant domestic secondary syphilis misdiagnosed literature, to "secondary syphilis" "misdiagnosis" as the search term, search CNKI database, WANFANG data, VIP journal,manually locate the retrieved literature references, and collected from January 1995 to December 2014 in China conform to the requirements of the relevant literature, summarize its clinical data, sort of misdiagnosis analysis, appropriate preventive measures to help reduce misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis of syphilis.Results:Patients of 62 years, men, nasal root isolate spotted, through the skin biopsypathology diagnosis and serology laboratory examination, diagnosis with secondary syphilis. Give the standard treatment for syphilis(benzathine penicillin 2.4 millions units,intramuscular injection, once a week,for three weeks), rash in 1 week after treatment was significantly reduced, three weeks after the rash basically subsided, three-month the RPR syphilis serology declined, 9-month of follow-up without recurrence.Conclusions:1. In this paper,1 case reports of patients with solitary facial rash as the main manifestation of secondary syphilis is rare, easily misdiagnosed,if not give treatment of syphilis timely, can make the development of early syphilis for late stage syphilis. To study by reporting to help clinicians recognize diverse clinical manifestations of secondary syphilis;2. Because of syphilis patients with atypical and diversity clinical manifestations, to hide or lack of relevant inspection, with a history of repeated misdiagnosis, irregular treatment, unknown examination of medical staff,unknown history etc could easily lead to clinical misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. And this is not conducive to early timely treatment of syphilis, or prevent its infection;3. To strengthen the medical staff understanding of the diversity of syphilis, improve the medical examination means, to establish a complete medical system, collect detailed history, comprehensive physical examination and strengthen the popularization of knowledge of STD, are important to correct and timely diagnose secondary syphilis. And these are also important to reduce syphilis complications and prevent further spread of infection by timely and effective treatment of infected patients.
