| Objectives: To evaluate the quality of life patients after cardiac pacemaker implantation with two different test form, and to conduct a comprehensive comparison. Methods: 216 patients who hospitalized in the Uygur Autonomous Region People’s Hospital of Xinjiang, Department of Cardiology, from November 2012 to November 2014 were included in this study. All of the patients were implanted cardiac pacemakers because bradyarrhythmias, including 140 male and 76 female(68.05±10.44years). The pacemaker manufacturers are including Medtronic and St. Jude. All of the patients were divided into two groups, including group A(the quality of life with pacemaker)and group B(SF-36 survey). The information includes age, sexuality, accompanied disease. It has to coronary heart disease, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes. 216 patients were divided into three groups by pacing mode, including group VVI, group AAI, group DDD. All patients who were fit to implantation pacemakers with bradyarrhythmias, and voluntarily signed the informed consent.consent. Pacemaker after operation were normally, condition stabilizes, none lead dislocation, infection and other complications. It must have more than primary school culture and reading ability. According to the score rules of quality of life instrument for patients with pacemaker, scores of quality of life were calculated before, three month and one year after pacemaker implantation,to evaluate the quality of life patients and conduct a comprehensive comparison. Results: Compared with before treatment, total scores of quality of life of the patients significantly decreased after three month and one year. The result has statistically significant difference among the groups(P<0.05).(1)group A and B::There were difference among three modes about scores of the physical function, physical functioning, vitality and mental health. group AAI and group DDD has no statistically significant difference(P>0.05). Group VVI and group AAI has statistically significant difference(P<0.05). The result has statistically significant difference between the group VVI and group DDD(P<0.05).(2)The quality of life instrument for patients with pacemaker focus on chest dis-comfortable, shortness of breath, dizziness, irregular heartbeats, and other body functions, they were passed above mentioned to gradually improve pacemaker patients in mental health function research. Such as the patient from the beginning of conflict, confusing, the later slowly by gradually accepted, and at last adapt to the dynamic evolution process. Although SF-36 can comprehensive cover all aspects of quality of life, but it can not reflect the specific of patient’s quality life, especially in pacemaker patients symptoms, spiritual, mental health. It has not changed to above all mentioned. Conclusion: 1. Implantation of pacemaker could significantly improve quality of life in patients. 2. There were statistically difference among three pacing modes about the quality of life with pacemaker patients. 3. The quality of life instrument for patients with pacemaker has more specific, real and objective to reflection the quality of life with pacemaker patients, such as physical function and mental function etc. 4. If it has more detailed to spiritual, mental health, and other aspects of the instrument, the SF-36 will be more suitable for the pacemaker patients. |
