Objective: To investigate the compound vancomycin alginate / chitosan(VCM/ACA) treatment effect for chronic osteomyelitis in dogs. Methods: The production of chronic osteomyelitis of femoral model 36 3 adult dogs, the mold after 8 weeks, gross observation and limb X-ray examination, successful model of dogs after operation after debridement of local implantation combined with vancomycin alginate / chitosan(VCM/ACA), postoperative respectively in 4, 12, 24 weeks and 1 year after operation, for patients with limb X-ray examination and Norden score, Evaluation of composite vancomycin alginate / chitosan(VCM/ACA) is effective in treatment of chronic osteomyelitis. Results: Application of compound vancomycin alginate chitosan combined operation method in the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis by dogs, long-term follow-up, and achieved good therapeutic effect. Conclusion: Application of compound vancomycin alginate chitosan combined operation method has played a major role in inhibiting infection in dogs in the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis. |
