Porous microspheres are widely used in the medical field, chromatographic column packing, biological area, cosmetics industry due to low density, large specific surface area, good stability, surface infiltration ability and characteristics of porous structure. Porous microspheres can be prepared to choice different monomers, porogen and polymerization method, which meet the actual needs. This essay includes two aspects. First, by using methyl methacrylate as monomers, toluene as porogen, the PMMA microspheres were prepared and characterized. A series of microspheres were prepared through changing the amount of DVB and toluene. Using these microspheres as carrier to immobilized BSA to study adsorption capacity. The results showed that when the amount of DVB is 0.1 m L and the amount of toluene is 0.2 m L, Immobilization ratio was highest, so, choose this microspheres as carrier to adsorb BSA. The influence of equilibrium adsorption time was investigated and the results indicated that the optimal adsorption time was 4 h. Compared adsorption capacity of microspheres and commodities macroporous resin(D101). Use Langmuir isothermal adsorption model and Freundich isothermal adsorption model to simulate the adsorption of microspheres. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of microspheres was superior to macroporous resin.Second, under alkaline condition, the PMMA microspheres were esterlysised for 12 h and 24 h. Through analysising infare spectroscopy, the PMMA microspheres were esterlysised very successful. Experiment investigated adsorption capacity of PMMA microspheres which were estelysised for 12 h and 12 h. The results showed that as the esterlysise time prolonged, immobilization ratio is rise. So, adsorption capacity of esterlysise microspheres was changed, increasing the number of hydrophilic charged-carboxyl groups, conducive to microspheres adsorption of BSA. Compare adsorption capacity of esterlysised microspheres and commodities macroporous resin. Use Langmuir isothermal adsorption model and Freundich isothermal adsorption model to simulate the adsorption of microspheres, calculated the adsorption characteristic parameters of the model. The results indicated that the adsorption capacity of PMMA microspheres was inferior to commodities macroporous resin.
