Members of the genus Clematis L.,belonging to the family Ranurculaceae.There are more than 350 species in all,with about 150 distributed throughout China.There are sixteen species and six varieties in Inner Mongolia.Through materia medica textual research, C.aethusifolia,C.intricata,C.macropetala,C.brevicaudata,C.hexapetala and C.mandshurica could be usde as Mongolian medicinal berbs.C.aethusifolia has been recorded in Drug Notes of plants in Inner Mongolia,Ministerial Drug Standards of Mongolian Medicine.Its authentic medicinal materials are the dried branches with flowers and leaves in Mongolia medicine.It has an effect of removing wind and dispersing cold,clearing meridians and collaterals, eliminating stasis to relieve pain.Column chromatography techniques(including silica gel and Sephadex LH-20)were used to separate constituents from the ethanol extract of the whole plants of C.aethusifolia in Inner Mongolia.To date,eleven compounds were isolated and the structures of seven compounds were elucidated by ESI-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR.It is respectively: quercetin-3-O-β-Dglucoside(1),apigenin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(2),apigenin-7-O-(6-p-coumaryl)-β-DGlucoside(3),methyl3,4-Dihydroxyphenyllactate(4),stigmasterol(5),daucosterol(6)palmitic acid(7),there are 1 flavonoid,2 fatty acid esters,1 alkanol have been unidentified.The HPLC fingerprint of C.aethusifolia was set up employing HPLC as a method,which included 27 common peaks,and the similarities of 10 samples from inner Mongolia were basically more than 0. 90. The method is accurate,repeatable,reliable and can be used for the discrimination and the quality control of C.aethusifolia.The chromatographic profiles of Clematis plants were comparison analyzed.there were apparent difference in fingerprint.With ethanol as the extraction solvent,independent variables were ethanol concentration,solid liquid ratio and extraction time,the yield of total saponins was determined as response value,the parameters of extraction technology of total saponins from five Clematis in Inner Mongolia were optimized by response surface method.Design-Expert8.0 software be used analysis data,The regression models that the present study established has indicated good fit with the experimental results.Anova for the models reached extremely significant level(P<0.001),lack of fit not significant,the regression coefficient of the binomial fitting complex models were more than 0.99 except fitting complex model of C.intricata.
