| Objective: 1.To study the homocysteine(Hcy) level in the Xinjiang Kazak and Han nationality in northern of Xinjiang, and its relationship with essential hypertension. To investigate whether elevated homocysteine levels could increase the risk of Xinjiang Kazak, Han population with essential hypertension. 2.Research the distribution of the T833 c gene polymorphisms, which is located the cystathionine β-synthase(Cystathionineβ-synthase, CBS), analysis associated with essential hypertension(Essential hypertension, EH). Methods: 1.The study was performed in 239 Kazak patients and 256 Han patients with essential hypertensive(EH) and was performed in 206 Kazak peoples and 224 Han peoples with normal tensive(NT). 2.T833 C and CBS genetypes were detected by Amplification Refractory Mutation System, ARMS, and analysis of the distribution of genotypes and allele gene frequencies; Automated biochemieal analyzer was employed to measure the Hcy levels of plasm and the clinical biochemistry datas. Results: 1. The distribution of genotypes in the Kazak and Han people with hypertension group and normal control group. While for Kazak 445 cases,480 cases were Han population Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium test results showed no significant difference between the Han, Kazakh nation in two groups of genetically better representation. 2. The gene CBS and T833 C in Kazak patients and Han patients has statistically significant(P <0.05) between genotype and hypertension group allele frequency differences; Xinjiang Kazak hypertension group TT genotype Kazak ratio is lower than the control group, TC genotype higher Kazak group(P <0.05); Kazak hypertension group T allele frequency is lower than the control group Kazak Kazak Kazak C allele higher than the control group(P <0.05); Han hypertension group and control group genotype, allele showed no significant difference. 3. Comparison of plasma Hcy levels with CBS and T833 C different genotype Kazak higher plasma Hcy TC genotype TT genotype(P <0.01); Hans higher plasma Hcy TC genotype TT genotype(P <0.01). 4. Plasma Hcy levels of hypertension was significantly higher difference was statistically significant(P <0.05), hypertension group Hcy levels Kazak and Han Hcy levels in hypertensive group had no significant difference(P> 0.05). Stratified by sex, Kazakh male hypertensive group Hcy levels than women with hypertension group, the control group of men than women in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusions: 1. Plasma homocysteine levels may be a risk factor for elevated Xinjiang Kazak, Han hypertension. 2. Xinjiang Kazak, Han population CBS T833 C polymorphisms are present. 3. There are racial differences in the distribution of CBS T833 C gene polymorphism between Han and Kazak population. CBS T833 C gene polymorphism and Kazak hypertension have some relevance, and Han hypertension may not be relevant, it may be related to CBS mutations altered metabolism of Hcy. |
