Objective:To evaluate the relationship between Chronic Migraine and dural venous sinus stenosis by MRV. The effect of abnormal morphology of cranial sinuses on venous sinus stenosis in Chronic Migraine are also estimated. Methods:Dural venous sinus MRV images of chronic patients and control were obtained. Combined conduit score(CCS) were applied to assess the stenosis of the bilateral transverse, sigmoid sinuses and internal jugular veins in study and control group; and also the abnormal morphology of cranial sinuses in study group were assessed. Results:we found magnetic resonance venographic evidence of cerebral venous sinus stenosis was 60.60% of the patients. The degree of dural venous sinus stenosis between 111 patients (CCS= 7.47±2.71) and 66 controls(CCS=10.18±1.90)were statistically significant different (P<0.05). CCS (t=-12.527) between patients with normal and abnormal torcular Herophili region showed statistically significant difference (P<0.05) in studied subgroups. The degree of dural venous sinus stenosis and intracranial pressure were high negative linear correlated (R=-0.849, P <0.05) in a part of studied group. Conclusion:Patients with chronic migraine had dural venous sinus stenosis. The patients of moderate and severe stenosis were more than the mild. Patients with abnormal torcular Herophili region had more sereve degree of dural venous sinus stenosis than patients with abnormal torcular Herophili region, and the intracranial pressure was higher than them. In a part of patients, the intracranial pressure was increased with the severe degree of dural venous sinus stenosis.
