Clinical Research Of The Additional Sangpiaoxiao Powder On Urinary Incontinence After Post Radical Prostatectomy

Objective To evaluate the effect of the additional sangpiaoxiao powder on urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy, and provide more effective treatment.Methods From Decenber 2013 to July 2014,42 subjects which met the inclusion criteria in the oncology department of affiliated hospital of Chengdu university of TCM were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. All patients were obtained behavioral therapy, the treatment group were subjected to additional sangpiaoxiao powder at the same time, while the control group was not gived.6 months later, we assessed the cure rate, the total effictive rate, the mean initial time, the improvement of the traditional Chinese symptom.Results Both the two groups shown no significient difference in age, KPS score, tumor stage, the indwelling urinary catheter time, the type and the garding of urinary incontinence (P>0.05). The garding of urinary incontinence in the treatment group was significantly reduced (P<0.05). The type of urinary incontinence did not have significantly difference(P>0.05). The cure rate of he treatment group and the control group were 38.09%、19.05%, which had significantly difference(P>0.05), howerver, the total effictive rate were 85.71%、52.38%, which had significantly difference (P < 0.05). The mean initial time of 121.89±15.22 days in treatment group was significantly decreased compared with 158.50±16.85 days in control group(P<0.05). The improxement of the traditional Chinese symptom that the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05)Conclusion Our data demonstrated that the additional sangpiaoxiao powder was an effective treatment in TCM on urinary incontinence post radical prostatectomy. It can be earlier to achieve urinary continence and improve the living quantilty.
