Classification Method, Properties And Pathogenic Characteristics Of Exogenous Pathogenic Wind

Objective:To tease the theory of exogenous wind pathogen of TCM syst ematacially, and make a more in-depth discussion on the concept, classificati on, character and pathogenic character of exogenous wind pathogen. For the purpose of providing reference for the perfection of exogenous wind pathoge n, providing the basis for the development of the etiology, and finally benefi ting clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods:The contents of exogenous wind pathogen of TCM were teased systematacially by literature retrieval and theoretical exploration, and elimi nate the false and retain the true. The contents of exogenous wind pathogen of TCM were treated by theoretical exploration. The concept, classification a nd pathogenic character of exogenous wind pathogen were summarized, disc ussed and completed.Results:1.The theory of exogenous wind pathogen was preliminary discu ssed in Prescriptions for fifty-two diseases. The correlation theory and conte nts of it were enriched in The Inner Canon of Huangdi, but the concept and t he scope of it were ambiguous because of the mix of theory of endogenous w ind. To jinyuan period, the concept and the scope of exogenous wind pathoge n became clearer increasingly with the deepening of the internal injuries dise ase understanding, the clearness of division of exogenous and endogenous wi nd. In the late qing dynasty, the theories of exogenous and endogenous wind mixed again because of the effect of archaeological study style and the wors hip of ancient thoughts.2.The classification methods of exogenous wind path ogen were discussed a lot in The Inner Canon of Huangdi, and a part of them were reserved because of their clinical practicability after the later supplem ent and extension. But a lot of classification method were disputed, such as t he concrete concept of da-xie and xiao-xie.3. The character and pathogenic character of exogenous wind pathogen were discussed a lot in ancient books, but they were not cleared up systematacially, such as the characteristic of "w ind injuries blood" and "easy to combined with blood".Conclusion:1.The "exogenous wind pathogen" is the general term of ex ogenous pathogenies which had the characteristic of opening-dispersing, vol atile, migrant and variable, easy to injure gas and consumption, easy to injur e blood, easy to stay and pathogenic widely. The connotation of exogenous w ind pathogen contains wind evil, wind plague, wind toxin and etc.2.In additi on to the evil, plague and toxin, the classification methods of exogenous wi nd pathogen also contains da-feng、xiao-feng、zheng-feng、ian-feng,ect.3.The character and pathogenic characters of exogenous wind pathogen were:wind was yang-xie and tends to change in yang; wind indicated stasis and opening-dispersing; wind was migrant and variable; wind was dry and easy to injure gas and consumption; wind was easy to stay and had its own special pathoge nic location; wind was a kind of primary pathogen and was easy to be combined with other evils.
