Objective:To observe the clinical effect of yanghe decoction plus laser therapy for postherpetic neuralgia(PHN).Methods:According to the rule of randomized control, those 72 patients (the patients were from dermatology department of First Affiliated Hospital, Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) who met certain standards were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the order of treatment, and each group was equally 36 patients. The treatment group with 36 patients were given oral drug yanghe decoction, once per day. The control group with 36 patients were given indomethacin of 25 mg each time,3 times per day. Both groups were treated with irradiation therapy with semiconductor laser, local lesions or pain areas were irradiated once per day. The changes of the pains, general symptom and sleeping quality of the 14 days before and after the entry were recorded, and the differences of the therapeutic effect between the two groups were analyzed. Results:The total effective rate of the two groups were:72.00% in treatment group, and 42.00% in the control group. The total effective rate of the two groups were compared, the results showed that there were significant differences. The effect of the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05); there were significant difference (P<0.05) between the pain of the two groups after treatment; there were significant difference (P<0.05) between the overall contrast symptoms of the two groups after treatment; there were significant difference (P<0.05) between the sleeping quality of the two groups after treatment; the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group. Conclusion:The yanghe decoction plus laser therapy for postherpetic neuralgia can effectively reduce the pain of patients and improve their clinical symptoms and sleeping quality, and it is a safe and effective treatment for PHN with yang deficiency and blood stagnation syndrome. |
