Objective:Investigate and analyze gynecology and obstetrics basic clinical skills, recognition, attention degree, master and influential facto r. Then find the way to help clinicians mastering basic clinical skills.Methods:A self-designed questionnaire survey was conducted amo ng 102 clinicians worked in 1-3 grade hospital from Chongqing. Mean while make a survey on 32 experts from Chongqing to define the co ntents of gynecology and obstetrics basic clinical skills. Last, a new self-designed questionnaire survey was conducted among 255 clinician s worked in 1-3 grade hospital from Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Y unnan provinces anonymously. The SPSS 19.0 statistical software was applied for the data.Results:First survey on 102 clinicians indicated that 47.15% know little about gynecology and obstetrics basic clinical skills; 78.4% have good attention on the basic clinical skills. Young clinicians 28.5% th ink their clinical skills were not expert. All the basic skills had a relat ionship with the attention, working years and professional title. Second survey among 310 clinicians; 31.6% considered having inadequate clini cal skills,26.1% average and 42.3% expert. All the basic skills obtaine d had a relationship with the number of operations, working years and professional title. Most of the basic clinical skills were from working in hospitals (85%), journal (82%), academic conference (58%):94.2% wi lling to participate in training classes like clinical teaching and training in moulds.Conclusion:Part of clinicians was not expert in clinical skills. T he gynecology and obstetrics basic clinical skills had a great relationshi p with practice chance. Attaching great importance to the clinician’s bas ic clinical skills training, adding their chance to study in academic conf erence, in-service education, training class, constructing regional medica 1 source sharing platform can make progress in growth of clinicians.
