Objective To understand the physical development state of children under 3 years old in the district and offer the research data of children longitudinal growth. Methods Selected 703 cases of children born in the year of 2011~2013,the ratio of male to female was 1.02:1. Inclusion criteria:(1) All children were single birth, full-term infants;(2) Complete follow-up data: 4 times in the first year(1m, 3m, 6m and 8 month) and the examination month age does not exceed the prescribed age two weeks; the examination age shall not exceed 4 weeks in 1 years old, 1.5 years old, 2 years old and 3 years of old. Exclusion criteria:(1) children with chronic or major diseases in the growth;(2) to move out or outside, unable to continue follow-up. Collect the weight and length/height index, using Excel 2003 to establish the database, using SPSS19.0 software for statistical analysis. Standards: The WHO Child Growth Standards(2006) and the survey indicators of children under 7 years of age in 9 cities of China(2005).Catch-up growth and decelerated down: The length/height percentile value of children has increased or decreased at least one main percent line. Low body weight: body weight is 2 standards deviation lower compared to the average weight of the same age children. Growth retardation: by calculating the height for age(HAZ), HAZ <-2 is growth retardation. T test was used to compare the physical and Z scores of the different gender groups in different age groups. The chi square test was used to compare the rate of growth retardation and low weight among the sex. One-way ANOVA was used to compare 2011-2013 groups of different ages in children’s physical.Results1. Except the birth weight and length, in the rest of the other month old group, boy had heavier weight and longer height than girls(P < 0.05); 2011-2013 groups of different month old children had no statistical significant(P > 0.05).2. The boy’s weight(0 to 1 month, 1 to 3 months, 3 to 6 months) and length(0 to 1 month, 1 to 3 months, 18 to 24 months) were heavier than girl’s(P < 0.05); Boy and girl’s weight growth was 6.99 kg,6.37 kg and length growth was 27.33 cm, 25.93 cm in the first year; And in the second year weight growth was 2.49 kg, 2.54 kg and length growth was 11.74 cm, 11.69 cm; Then in the third year weight growth was 2.28 kg, 2.35 kg and height growth was 9.22 cm, 9.54 cm.3. The weight of boys aged 3 months and 12 months were 2 times and 3 times of their birth’s weight, and girls’ were 2.87 times and 1.88 times; the length of boys and girls aged 12 months both exceeded 1.5 times of the birth.4. From the beginning of the 18 month old, the proportion of children who were "keep consistent" was more than 50%; growth deceleration in 3 ~ 6 months was the most distinct, and more than 40%;growth acceleration in birth to 3 months was the most prominent, and more than 50%.5. The incidence rate of low weight was 2.57‰ in boys and it was 1.13‰ in girls(P > 0.05); the growth retardation incidence rate was 8.07‰ in boys and it was 2.63‰ in girls. The growth retardation of boys was significantly higher than that of girls(P < 0.05).6. Between two adjacent age groups the length / height(△ LAZ/HAZ value) was in normal range from- 0.67 to + 0.67; the age from18 to 24 months boy grew faster than girls(P < 0.05).7. The weights and lengths / heights were close to or exceed the survey indicators of children under 7 years old in 9 domestic suburban of China in 2005, and all exceed the WHO 2006 growth standards. Conclusions: The weights and lengths / heights of local children were close to or exceed the survey indicators of the 9 domestic suburbs in 2005, and greater than the WHO 2006 Child growth standard, and children with obvious gender differences. The length change trend showed greater volatility in the 0-2 years of age, but with the growth of age, the growth trends tend to be stable. The growth deceleration was the most distinct in 3~6 month age, while the acceleration was in the 0~3 month age. The incidence of low weight had higher possibility in the first year, while the growth retardation always happened in the year of 1~2 year old, and boys were easier to have low weight and growth retardation than girls.
