Objective:To analyse the functional changes and explore the central mechanisms of primary dysmenorrhea with acupuncture, which can provides new evidence for the theory of acupuncture treatment for primary dysmenorrhea.Methods:12 primary dysmenorrhea patients who matched the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into 2 groups:Sanyingjiao Group(GroupA) and Non-acupoints Group(GroupB).Each patients received acupuncture only once.Clinical evaluation and resting state fMRI scans were performed on each group before and after treatment. The characteristics of functional connectivity in each group and between groups after treatment were investigated.Results:1. Compared with each other,it showed that the ALFF value of hippocampus, the frontal lobe, orbito frontal cortex, the superior parietal lobule, postcentral gyrus, precuneus were significantly increased and significantly decreased of thalamus, insula, the middle temporal cortex, parahipppcampal, fusiform gyrus, temporal pole (P<0.005, uncorrected,cluster>5).2. VAS、COX were statistical significance before and after treatment in each group(p<0.05),but no statistical significance between groups after treatment(P> 0.05).Conclusions:l.There were significantly different brain areas in ALFF values between groups in the resting-state after treatment, mainly as follows:hippocampus, the frontal lobe, anterior cingulate cortex, orbito frontal cortex, thalamus, insula, temporal cortex. The central mechanism may be correlated with these specific brain area.2.Acupuncture has efficient to PD.
