Purpose: The study is to discuss whether Abnormal Savda Munziq(ASMQ) therapy poses impacts on progression of “degenerative†sclerotic aortic valvular disease.Method:A total of 100 New Zealand purebred healthy male rabbits(weight of 1.8 to 2.4kg) were adopted. Dispose the 20 at the beginning of the experiment.Rest of them were fed adaptively for 1 week before being randomly divided into four groups, including the Normal Control Group(N Group; n=20), which were fed with ordinary particle feeds for rabbit, the High Fat Diet Group(HC Group; n=20), which were fed with high-fat diets, the High Fat Diet plus Atorvastatin Intervention Group(AI Group; n=20), which were fed with high-fat diets and received intragastric 4mg/kg.d atorvastatin(once daily), and the High Fat Diet plus ASMq Group(MI Group; n=20), which were fed with high-fat diets and received intragastric 5.069/kg ASMq(once daily). Blood samples were taken at week0 and 8 for blood-fat analysis; aortic valves were taken at 8-week for pathological examinations and at 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8-week for observations of endothelial cell nanostructure under AFM. Result: TG, TC, LDL and HDL results in the HC Group were significantly different from the N Group(P<0.01). TG, TC, LDL and HDL results were obviously different between the MI and HC Groups(P<0.05). When comparing pathological results between the MI Group and the HC Group, intact endothelial cell amount and continuity were showed for aortic valves and no obvious sub-endothelial inflammatory cell, macrophage, osteoblast, and calcium deposition was shown. Long diameters of endothelial cells scanned at 6 and 8-week under AFM50μm×50μm showed significant difference between the HC Group and the MI Group(P<0.01). Long diameters of endothelial cells in the MI Group were significantly different from the HC Group(P<0.01). The 8-week surface elevation diameters of endothelial cells scanned under AFM50μm×50μm in the HC Group were significantly different(P<0.01) and the 6 and 8-week heights were significantly different(P<0.01). Compared with the HC Group, the 8-week surface elevation diameters of endothelial cells in the MI Group were significantly different(P<0.01) and the 8-week heights were different without significance(P<0.05).Conclusion: ASMQ therapy effectively deferred the occurrence of “degenerativeâ€sclerotic aortic valvular disease, holding basically similar effects with atorvastatin. |
