Objective:To study the result of perioperative period blood loss of isolated compartmental knee osteoarthritis patients undergoing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty(UKA) and total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Methods:The UKA group contained36 patients(23 knees) and 32 patients were in TKA group(32 knees).All the patients accepted arthroplasty during December 2013 to December 2014 at The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.Patients evaluation focused on blood loss,hemoglobin 24 hour after the operation,hemoglobin 48 hour after the operation,hemoglobin 72 hour after the operation.Collection the UKA group and TKA group data and compare two groups of data.Results:Compared with the TKA group,the UKA group had less blood loss(p<0.05),and a decrease of hemoglobin 24 hour after the operation(p<0.05),and a decrease of hemoglobin 48 hour after the operation(p<0.05),and a decrease of hemoglobin 72 hour after the operation(p<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with TKA,UKA has less trauma,less blood loss,less time of operation.
