Photodynamic therapy, or simply “PDT” for short, is a kind of cancer treatments which full of brand new ideas. PDT, one of the three important factors, plays a dominant role in killing living body(such as tumor cell) selectively by combining Photosensitizer with oxygen and visible light. Although many kinds of Photodynamic anti-cancer drugs(Photosensitizer) have been used in clinical practice so far, everyone has its different degrees of defects, which may have negative effects to the treatment effect of PDT. So it is very important to research and development a new type of Photosensitizer for Photodynamic cancer therapy. It must be efficient and harmfulless. The first chapter of this thesis discusses about the fundamental of Photodynamic therapy, the trait of that, and ideal features of Photosensitizer. The first chapter also includes influence factors of Photodynamic therapy, and demonstrates recent Cyclic tetrapyrrole compound class in detail. The most important part of this chapter is the research and growing trend of Chlorophyll photosensitizer, and the feature of Phenyl hydrazone photosensitizer。As for the chapter 2 and chapter 3, the thesis demonstrates that methyl pyropheophorbide-a(MPPa)can be synthesized and forms Phenylhydrazone and Benzene hydrazone derivatives. And then, the thesis analyzes UV Vis absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum of chemical compounds. All of the chemical constructions of new chemical compounds in this thesis were convinced by Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, infrared spectra, UV Vis absorption spectrum and elemental analysis.
