Objective:To study the Chinese Han population of 5 polymorphisms in Collected blood samples from 384 patients of the area of SiChuan Province with age-related macular degeneration and 384 matched controls using case-control study method.The choosed gene single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) were genotyped by SnaPShot classify technology in 384 patients with age-related macular degeneration and 384 controls of Chinese Han population.Results:All of the 5 genetype frequencyies of the these SNPs were in accordance with Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium(HWE)(P>0.05). rs13117504 G allele frequency (P=0.037, OR=1.24,95%CI:1.01-1.53) rs10033900C allele frequency (P=0.023, OR=1.27,95%CI: 1.03-1.57),Dominant Model of AMD and control group has significant statistical differences in frequency of rs10033900(P=0.039, OR=0.74,95%CI:0.55-0.99). The rs6822976 A allele frequencies and control group (P=0.158), rs7438961 G allele frequencies and control group (P=0.798), rs7671905 T allele frequency and control group (P=0.909)had no statistical significance. Rs10033900 recessive model of AMD and control group had no significant difference between the frequency distribution (P=0.107), Dominant and Recessive models of AMD and control group had no statistical significance (P>0.05) in rs13117504, rs6822976, rs7438961,rs7671905.Conclusion:The results indicated that rs13117504 and rs10033900 SNPs near CFI gene upstream had significant association with age-related macular degeneration,while rs6822976, rs7438961, rs7671905 SNPs had no significant correlation with age-related macular degeneration in Han population of Chinese.
