Purpose:(1) Explore the expression of Ki-67 in esophageal squamous cell carcinomas and normal esophagus mucosa tissues next to the cancer focus;(2) Explore the expression of p63 in esophageal squamous cell carcinomas and normal esophagus mucosa tissues next to the cancer focus;(3) Explore the relationship between the expression of Ki-67,p63 and the clinicopathological parameters in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma;(4) Explore the relativity between the expression of Ki-67 and p63 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma; Methods:In this study,we selecte specimen paraffin-embedded tissues of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma after radical operation from Fujian Provincial People’s Hospital from October 2012 to February 2016, screen 50 specimen paraffin-embedded tissues which have completely medical records and meet the requirements, explore the expression of Ki-67、 p63 in esophageal squamous cell carcinomas and normal esophagus mucosa tissues next to the cancer focus by immunohistochemistry s-p method. In the end, we explore the expression of Ki-67、 p63 and relativity between the expression of Ki-67 and p63 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma by using PASW Statistics 18 statistical software.Results:(1) Ki-67 expressed in the nucleus of tumor cells, and the expression of Ki-67 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent tissues next to the cancer focus is respectively 98.0%(49/50) and 10.0%(5/50).The expression difference between esophageal squamous cell carcinomas and adjacent tissues next to the cancer focus of Ki-67 has remarkable statistics meaning(P<0.05).The expression of Ki-67 in esophageal squamous cell carcinomas is no statistically significantly difference among gender, age, position, staging, invasion depth(AJCC、UICC 2009 7th edition of the international TNM staging of esophageal cancer T-staging), with or.without lymph node metastasis, size and gross classification(P>0.05),but significantly difference in dfferent dfferentiation gades(P<0.05).Between the high differentiation group and low differentiation group, the expression of Ki-67 has no significant differences, but bween the high differentiation group and moderate ifferentiation group, moderate differentiation group and low differentiation group.(2) p63 all expressed in the nucleus of tumor cells. In this study, the positive expression rate, of p63 is 98.0%(49/50) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and 10.0%(5/50) in adjacent tissues next to the cancer focus. The expression difference between esophageal squamous cell carcinomas and adjacent tissues next to the cancer focus of p63 has remarkable statistics meaning(P<0.05).The expression of p63 in esophageal squamous cell carcinomas is no statistically significantly difference among gender, age, position, staging, invasion depth, with or without lymph node metastasis, size and gross classification(P>0.05),but significantly difference in dfferent dfferentiation gades(P<0.05).Between the moderate differentiation group and low differentiation group, the expression of p63 has no significant differences, but bween the high differentiation group and moderate ifferentiation group, high differentiation group and low differentiation group.(3) There is positive correlation between the expression of Ki-67 and p63 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (r=0.321; P<0.05)Conclusion:(1) The expression of Ki-67 and p63 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma is much higher than their expression in adjacent tissues, so we guess that they are related to occurrence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.(2) There is no correlation among the expression of Ki-67, p63 and sex, age, position, staging, invasion depth, with or without lymph node metastasis, size and gross classification.(3) There is correlation between the expression of Ki-67,p63 and differentiation of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, and There is positive correlation between the expression of Ki-67 and p63 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, so we guess that combined detection is helpful to diagnosis, differentiation judgment and prognostic evaluation of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
