Objective To evaluate the diagnosis value of endoscopic retrograde pancreatic angiography (ERCP) for pancreaticobiliary disease in children and adolescents less than 18 years old. Methods Clinical data from pancreaticobiliary disease with patients less than 18 years old who were admitted in the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi medical university was collected from January 2008 to December 2015. The value of ERCP for diagnosis and therapy in pancreaticobiliary diseases in children and adolescents was summarized. And the correlation among success rate, complication and prognosis were analysis. Results A total of 31 cases were analysed.14 cases were men and 17 cases were women, aging from 1 to 18 years old and average 8.5 years old.34 case-times ERCP were undertaken in 31 patients, with 88.2% success rate.2 cases-times were diagnostic ERCP,28 cases-times were therapeutic ERCP and 4 cases-times were failed;16 cases with biliariy disease, and 4 cases with pancreatic disease and the rest 11 cases with pancreaticobiliary diseases. The disease distribution of disease was as follows:15 cases with common bile duct-stone,5 cases with common bile duct cyst,2 cases with acute biliary pancreatitis, 6 cases with chronic pancreatitis and 3 cases of other diseases. Therapeutic ERCP included ENBD for 16 case-times, EST for 11 case-times, stone extraction for 22 case-times and balloon dilatation for 17 case-times. The incidence rate of complication was 23.5%(8/34), including 5 cases with hyperamylasemia,1 case with post-ERCP acute pancreatitis and 2 cases with duodenal papilla hemorrhage. Conclusion ERCP has highter success rate in children and adolescents. Biliary disease was common, in which bile duct stone was the most common disease. And the complication of ERCP are not rare in pancreaticobiliary disease in children and adolescents.
