| Objective: To explore the biological absorbable bone stick in the clinical treatment effect and economic effect of radial head fractures,and prove its feasibility.Methods: From December 2012 to December 2014,Department of orthopedics in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University(Changzhou First People’s Hospital),Randomly selected 30 patients with open reduction, absorbable bone stick and Herbert screw fixation for treatment of patients. We divided them into 2 groups, each group of 15 cases. The 1 group was fixed with absorbable bone stick, which was set as observation group. And the other groups were Herbert screw fixation, which was set as the control group. Follow up survey, observing the fracture healing and functional recovery of the 2groups,and using Broberg and Morrey elbow function evaluation criteria for evaluation. At the same time, compared with the 2 groups of patients with the total medical expenses. This is to evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect and economic benefit of absorbable bone stick.Results: All patients were followed up for 8~12 months, all of which were healed well,and the function recovered well. Compared with the control group, there was no difference in fracture healing time between the observation group and the control group,P>0.05.Compared with the control group, the Morrey score of the observation group had no difference, P >0.05. Compared with the control group, the total cost of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, P<0.05.Conclusion: In the treatment of radial head fractures, Absorbable bone stick and Herbert screw are better internal fixation methods.They can achieve satisfactory results.But the absorbable bone stick in the treatment of radial head fractures,there is no need toremove the two surgery.It relieve the pain and economic burden of the patients.It worthy of clinical promotion... |
