Purposes:To observe the influence of limb swelling of trimeresurus stejnegeri bites after the early binding (small splint binding method).Methods:1.Met the inclusion criteria of 60 patients whom hospitalized in Surgery of traditional Chinese medicine in the People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of traditional Chinese Medicine and bit by trimeresurus stejnegeri in January 2015 to January 2016.And then divided them into the control group (no tie group) and the treatment group (small splint binding group) by using random number table.2.Double groups used conventional systems snakebite treatment programs, but the treatment group added to small splint colligation limb binding method on the basis of conventional systems snakebite treatment programs. Double groups need to observed and recorded limbs’swelling of the range and degree respectively before the treatment, and after the first three days of treatment, after the first seven days of treatment. While before the treatment and after the first three days of treatment and after the first seven days of treatment, we should phlebotomize for detecting 5-HT and HA levels.3.Using statistical software for comparison and analysis, and then coming to a dicision.4. Comparing for 60 patients’gender, age, limb swelling range, limb swelling degree, disease classification,5-HT and HA levels before the treatment, there was no statistically significant differences (P>0.05). So they can be contrasted.Results:1. Limb swelling range:Comparison of the two groups before treatment and after treatment in the group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), showed that limb swelling range after treatment is better than before treatment. Treatment group and control group 3 days and 5 days after treatment were compared between groups, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), indicating the treatment group improved limb swelling range is better than the control group.2.Limb swelling degree:Comparison of the two groups before treatment and after treatment in the group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), showed that limb swelling degree after treatment is better than before treatment. Treatment group and control group 3 days and 5 days after treatment were compared between groups, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), indicating the treatment group improved limb swelling degree is better than the control group.3.5-HT in serum:Comparison of the two groups before treatment and after treatment in the group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), showed that 5-HT in serum after treatment is better than before treatment. Treatment group and control group 3 days and 5 days after treatment were compared between groups, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), indicating the treatment group improved 5-HT in serum is better than the control group.4. HA in serum:Comparison of the two groups before treatment and after treatment in the group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), showed that HA in serum after treatment is better than before treatment. Treatment group and control group 3 days and 5 days after treatment were compared between groups, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), indicating the treatment group improved HA in serum is better than the control group.5. Adverse reactions:Double groups were not found adverse reactions in the treatment. Conclusion:The small splint binding method is easy, safety and convenient. And the treating method can promote the limbs swelling which were bit by trimeresurus stejnegeri.
