Objective:Using medicinal and edible fungi to study the suppression of Saccharomyces cerevisiae activity and antioxidant activity. Methods: The suppression of Saccharomyces cerevisiae activity test was carried out using the metabolites of the mycelium that were isolated and purified from medicinal and edible fungi by liquid culture to screen active strains. The compounds with activity of suppression of Saccharomyces cerevisiae were isolated from the active strains. The scavenging effect of extracts from different parts of seven kinds of edible fungi were studied by DPPH, Fenton and pyrogallol autoxidation method. Results:Termitornyces albuminosus and BLG-3 were screened by suppressing Saccharomyces cerevisiae test. Three compounds were isolated from Termitornyces albuminosus,including two species of Ergosterol and adenosine were identified.Ergosterol is one of the three compounds isolated from Termitornyces albuminosus,Ergosterol with a better activity of suppression of Saccharomyces cerevisiae whose average inhibitory diameter was reached 11.7 mm with the experimental concentration of 4 mg/mL. Gliotoxin isolated from BLG-3 with a better activity of suppression of Saccharomyces cerevisiae,its average inhibitory diameter was reached12.6 mm with the experimental concentration of 4 mg/mL.The extracts from different parts of seven edible fungi had certain scavenging capacity of DPPH radical, in which the scavenging effects of extracts of Pleurotus cornucopiae stipe, Agrocybe aegerita cap and Lentinula edodes cap were higher than that of other samples. The extracts of Agrocybe aegerita cap had certain scavenging capacity of hydroxyl radical while the other extracts were weaker. The extracts of Agrocybe aegerita cap had stronger scavenging capacity of superoxide radical. The extracts of Agrocybe aegerita stipe and Lentinula edodes cap had certain scavenging capacity. The other extracts were weaker. Conclusion: It has important research value in the screening of anti-tumordrugs because Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a good model for screening anti-tumor drugs and both of Ergosterol and Gliotoxin with a better activity of suppression of it.The extracts from different parts of seven edible fungi had certain antioxidant activity and it was shown that Agrocybe aegerita cap exhibited the best comprehensive antioxidant activities.
