Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of posterior circulation ischemia vertigo with syndrome of phlegm and static blood blocking orifices Chinese medicine clinical pathway and its influence on patients’satisfaction, hospitalization days and expenses. So as to provide this pathway practical evidence for further implementation, improvement and application.Methods:60 posterior circulation ischemia vertigo with syndrome of phlegm and static blood blocking orifices patients were randomized into two groups, the path group and control group. The path group patients were treated with Chinese medicine clinical path form (30 cases), and the control group patients were treated with traditional therapy (30 cases). After the completion of treatment, the basic information of two group patients were collected, and the improvement of clinical symptoms, the TCM symptoms rating scale, therapeutic effect and satisfaction were compared between two groups. The vertigo relapse rate, hospitalization rates were also compared 1 month after discharge.Resuls:Study included 60 patients in which 2 cases fell out,58 cases were analyzed finally. The total effective rate of Path group was 100%, higher than the control group 93.1%, but the statistical test analysis was no significance (P> 0.05). TCM symptoms scale score especially the symptom of vertigo in two groups were all improved, but the statistical test analysis was no significance (P>0.05). The average hospitalization cost (8471.309±1829.118yuan) and average hospitalization days (9.59±2.413d) of Path group were lower than the cost (10876.981±2581.560yuan) and days (13.97±3.60d) of control group, and the statistical test analysis had statistical significance (P<0.05). The degree of satisfaction on hospitalization expenses, medical service, and treatment were higher than control group, and the difference had statistical significance (P< 0.05), the path group did have a significant role in improving the inpatients satisfaction. The acceptance of the this path scheme in path group is generally higher than the control group (P< 0.05). The characteristic treatment of traditional Chinese medicine therapy utilization rate of path group was significantly higher than the control group (P< 0.05). The vertigo relapse rate and hospitalization rates of path group were also lower than the control group 1 month after discharge, but the statistical test analysis was no statistical significance (P>0.05).Conclusion:The posterior circulation ischemia vertigo with syndrome of phlegm and static blood blocking orifices Chinese medicine clinical pathway curative effect is remarkable, which can shorten the hospitalization days, reduce hospitalization expenses, save medical resources, improve the medical quality, strengthen the doctor-patient communication, improve the hospitalized patients’ satisfaction, and also be benefit to the long-term prognosis, give full play to the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine. This Chinese clinical path is safe and effective and suitable for clinical promotion.
