Clinical Research Of Chinese Herbal Fumigation And Washing On Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy With Sensory Disorders Of Hands

Objective:The Purpose was to evaluate the effect of Chinese herbal fumigation and washing on diabetic peripheral neuropathy with sensory disorders of hands, in order to promote the clinical application of nursing technical skill in Traditional Chinese Medicine.Methods:The design is a randomized controlled trial,50 diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients with sensory disorders of hands were coming from Jiangsu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Those patients were divided into two groups, named control group and Chinese herbal fumigation and washing group, each group of 25 cases. Two groups were treated with routine hypoglycemic scheme and health care associated with diabetes mellitus.Chinese herbal fumigation and washing group was treated with Chinese herbal fumigation and washing in constant temperature basin, and fumigation temperature was be controlled at 50℃～60℃, the duration of 10-15min. When the temperature decreased to 37℃～40℃, patients carry on washing last 10-15min,once every day.2 weeks later, Chinese medicine symptom complex score, sensory function evaluation, two-point discrimination, anxiety self-assessment scale and blood glucose level were analyzed.Results:After the intervention, Chinese herbal fumigation and washing group total effective rate was 84.0%, and the control group was 40.0%, the difference was statistically significant between two groups(P<0.05); Sensory function evaluation score of each group is different, and the comparison between groups aslo have significant difference(P<0.05); Two-point discrimination was significantly reduced in each groups after treatment(P<0.05), whlie there was no difference between two groups(P>0.05); The rate of patients with anxiety was 44.0%, and dropped to 18.0% after intervention, the difference was statistically significant between two groups(P< 0.05); There was no difference in blood glucose levels between control group and Chinese herbal fumigation and washing group (P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Chinese herbal fumigation and washing can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients with sensory disorders of hands; While the advantage effects of two-point discrimination in patients was not prominent. 2.Chinese herbal fumigation and washing can relieve patients anxiety emotion.
