BackgroundThe continuous progress of science and technology economy and prolong the life span of the human, osteoporosis is increasing year by year. Survey report shows that it has been ranked as the fifth largest disease in twenty-first century, most of them women, which has become a social problem that serious harm to the health in elderly women, and aroused the world’s attention. The study found that the drug treatment of osteoporosis is not only high cost of treatment, but also more long-term adverse effects, exercise therapy because of its better control effect has been more and more people’s attention. The study found the drug to treat osteoporosis treatment not only costly, but also more long-term adverse effects, because of better control effect, exercise therapy has attacked more and more people’s attention.ObjectivesTo observe the changes of bone density, body fat mass and lean body mass after exercise therapy in postmenopausal osteoporosis patients, investigate the effects of exercise therapy on postmenopausal osteoporosis, and evaluate the therapeutic effect of exercise therapy on postmenopausal osteoporosis objectively, thereby providing scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of this disease and use of exercise therapy in clinic.MethodsSelecting 65 cases of patients from the requirements of the Jiangsu provincial authorities osteoporosis specialist out-patient hospital, which are divided into drug treatment group (control group) and exercise therapy plus drug treatment group (treatment group) randomly. Batches of treated patients, Professor Tai Chi and exercise intervention, and for movement and exercise in detail missionary. Two groups of patients are treated with oral drugs (alendronate (Fosamax) 70mg, once a week, weekly, according to the prescribed dose and method taking, Caltrate D 600 mg, once daily, alfatih three 0.25 μg, once a day).Changes in patients with lumbar and femoral bone density, lean body mass and fat content are observed before and after treatment. The research period of six months, bone density, lean body mass, fat content is measured in the beginning and end of project. During the research of regular telephone follow-up of patients, and the urge to take medication and attend exercise therapy, and solve related problems encountered in the process of research, to minimize the loss of cases.Results①Changes in bone mineral density:After 6 months of treatment, the treatment group and control group increases in lumbar spine BMD (P<0.05), between the two groups, the treatment group is significantly better than the control group (P<0.05).Two groups of femoral bone density after treatment improves in different degrees, which the treatment group improves significantly (P<0.05),no significant difference in the control group (P>0.05), and difference between the two groups is significant (P<0.05).②The changes of lean body mass and fat content:after 6 months of treatment, the treatment group improves significantly in lean body mass (P<0.05),fat content decreases significantly (P<0.05),while the control group lean body mass and fat content showes no obvious change; between the two groups, the treatment group and the control group significantly different(P<0.05).Conclusions①Exercise therapy plus drug therapy group(treatment group)can improve bone mineral density, lean body mass, and decrease fat content in postmenopausal osteoporosis patients. The simple drug treatment group(control group)can improve the bone mineral density in postmenopausal osteoporosis patients, slight effect on lean muscle mass and body fat content.② The curative effect of the treatment group is significantly better than that of the control group, which shows exercise combined with drug treatment can improve the bone mineral density of patients, enhance the muscle elasticity and strength, promote lipid metabolism, so as to reduce the possibility of fracture. This method can not only improve the dependence of patients treatment, but also save resources, reduce the burden on the state and society, it is worthy of clinical promotion.
