Clinical Efficacy Of Tonifying Kidney And Clearing Away Damp-heat And Activating Blood On Delaying Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD4 Period) Renal Function Decline

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of tonifying kidney and clearing away the damp-heat and activating blood for delaying chronic kidney disease (CKD4 period) renal function decline.Methods:In this study,64 patients were analyzed retrospectively collected from March 2015 to March 2016, Nephrology of the Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM for treatment, accordance with the inclusive criteria. Renal function evaluated through eGFR, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen level and other laboratory indexes reflected the curative effect of this treatment, as well as symptom scores. While the safety was reflected by ALT, AST, TC, TG, K and others. The total course of treatment is 12 months.Results:(1)Clinical symptoms:64 patients’symptom scores reduced compared with every front 3 months, and treatment for 12 months compared with before treatment, the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05), the total effective rate was 89.06%, including 8 cases markedly, 32 cases effectively,17 cases stably. (2)Indexes of renal function:64 patients’Scr, BUN, UA decreased and eGFR increased after 3,6,9,12 months. Difference between every course of treatment and the origin all had statistical significance (P<0.05). Curve charts showed that Scr and eGFR getting smooth and steady over time (month), which implied the renal function being stable gradually. Total patients’1/Scr over time (month) linear regression slope b value is positive, showed that long-term effect trended to be improved. (3)Security indexes:64 patients also collected other laboratory indexes before and after treatment, all were improved to a certain extent. Among them, the differences between before and after treatment of UTP, Hb, ALB, Ca, TC were statistically significant (P<0.05),while CO2CP, PTH, K, P, TG, ALT and AST were not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of tonifying kidney and clearing away the damp-heat and activating blood has a therapeutic effect on CKD4, and improves patients’clinical symptoms and kidney function. As the extension of time, this method keeps a stable condition, delaying progression, and improving patients’living quality significantly.
