A Correlational Study Of Survival Quality Coping Styie And Social Suport In Elderly Patients With Gloucoma In Yanbian Area

Objective:To describe the present status of the quality of life, social support and coping styles in the yanbian area in middle-aged and elderly patients with glaucoma; To make clear that the variation in the general population with old glaucoma patients’ quality of life, social support and coping styles; To analysis the interrelation among the quality of life, social support and coping styles.Method:For the experimental research, this study uses the convenience sampling method, select 460 senile patients with glaucoma in yanbian area, sentout 460 questionnaires, recycling effective questionnaire 414, effective rate was 90%. Mainly adopts questionnaire survey, research tools include general situation questionnaire, the visual function damage the eye disease patients’quality of life scale, social support scale touting, coping style scale. All the data using SPSS 17.0 statistical software for analysis.Results:(1) Results showed that the survival quality of life of yanbian region in elderly patients with glaucoma overall high quality, quality of life of each dimension scores from high to low in turn with symptoms and visual function, social activities, physical function, mental psychological; Social support at the secondary level overall, and the dimension of social support scores from high to low in turn with subjective support, social exploitation degree, objective support; Coping styles generally on the low side, coping styles of each dimension scores from high to low in turn with facing, avoiding and yielding.(2) The quality of life has relationship with age, living conditions, education, age, income, marriage, family type, nationality, chronic illness and surgical history; Social support has relationship with age, housing, income, ethnic history, education, marriage; Coping styles have relationship with occupation, income, education, marriage, and insurance.(3)The quality of life and social support have significant moderate positive correlation, various dimensions of quality of life, including symptoms and visual function, physical function, social activities, and mental psychological have significant moderate positive correlation with social support; There is a negative correlation between quality of life and coping styles, the various dimensions of quality of life, including symptoms and visual function, physical function, social activities, and mental psychological have negative correlation with coping styles; The research object of social support has a significant negative correlation with coping styles, various dimensions of social support, including subjective support, objective support, and social use has a negative correlation with coping styles.Conclusion:(1)The quality of life of Middle-aged and elderly patients with glaucoma in yanbian region tend to a high side level, the social support in the general level, and the coping styles in middle side level.(2)The quality of life, social support and coping styles of Middle-aged and elderly patients with glaucoma in yanbian region tend to have nothing to do with housing, income, marriage, education, age, and gender, medical fees and history of glaucoma surgery.
