Objective:with the popularity of increasingly rich in all kinds of sports, sports injury is becoming more and more popular. The knee ACL injury is one of the most common sports injury, the ACL reconstruction surgery has become the consensus of regaining knee stability and functional well. Therefore postoperative function training is the important part of the rehabilitation, and then proprioception rehabilitation is one of the hot spot in recent research. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history, this study applies acupuncture treatment to the postoperative ACL proprioception rehabilitation process, aims to explore whether acupuncture enhance the recovery of proprioception. Methods:From January 2015 to January 2016, we selected 60 patients with isolate ACL injury in the forth joint department of WangJing hospital in Chinese academy of sciences of traditional Chinese medicine, whose were caused by noncontact injury. All patients were taken arthroscopically autograft of hamstring tendon transplantation with single bundle for ACL reconstruction with tibia side remnant. Fixiton of tibia side with interference screw (IntraFix), and femoral side with two transverse screws(RigidFix)fixed. Postoperative patients were randomly divided into the experimental group and controlled group,30 cases in each group. The experimental group combined acupuncture treatment with normal postoperative functional training as the rehabilitation plan, the controlled group only implement the normal postoperative functional training. The experimental group and the controlled group respectively have the follow-ups at the different time points of postoperative 1 month, 3 months and 6 months, using passive angle reproduction test method to assess the sense of positon, and testing the stability and tension of the graft by using KT-2000 instrument, estimating postoperative knee function by using Lysholm scale and IKDC scale. Statistical evaluation was performed in all cases. Results:All of cases followed-up and statisticalled. The experimental group showed better results than the controlled group at preset angle of 30 ° and 60 °(P< 0.05)at the point of postoperative 1 month, however there is no significant difference in 45 ° (P> 0.05).The experimental group showed better results than the controlled group in the preset angle of 60 °t the time point of postoperative 3 months (P< 0.05), while there is no significant difference in 30 ° and 45 ° (P> 0.05).No difference in 30°、45°,60° is seen at the postoperative 6 months point between two groups(P> 0.05).Subjective IKDC score and Lysholm scale statistically showed that the experimental group and controlled group in various follow-up point had no statistical difference (P> 0.05), and significant difference is seen in both group at every followed-up time point(P< 0.05).There is no significant difference of the results of the KT-2000 evaluation at each time point (P> 0.05).Conclusion:We found that the experimental group under acupuncture intervention have more advantages in proprioception recovery than the controlled group in the early rehabilitation training, improve the recovery efficiency and make the patient back to sport early. Acupuncture curative effect is reliable, patient satisfaction is higher, it is worth clinical promotion.
