Primary Research About Chinese Medical Symptom Of Chronic Cough For Children

Objective:Pediatric chronic cough, as one of the clinical common pediatric diseases, the incidence of that tend to rise obviously in recent years. Due to the complicated etiopathogenesis, the therapeutic effect of western medicine was limited under circumstances of the diagnosis is unclear, but traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) emphasizing on the holism concept, thus have received an obvious curative effect under the guidance of syndrome differentiation. Through search, investigation, statistics and analysis of related literature, and combing with sorting and analyzing clinical cases, this research aimed to primarily figure out the law of syndrome differentiation of pediatric chronic cough pediatric chronic cough law, in addition, through retrospective study of clinical cases, to explore a scheme of TCM differentiation types of pediatric chronic cough conforming to the syndrome differentiation law and its characteristics of TCM syndrome.Methods:There were two different sources of this research:one was that to do literature data, to obtain targeting literature by searching the CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) from 2000 to 2015, processing summarization of data after qualitative analysis of selected literature to analyze characteristics of clinical classification and distribution regularity of TCM syndrome of pediatric chronic cough. Another was that to do clinical trials, by collecting cases conforming to diagnostic criteria of pediatric chronic cough accepted diagnosis and treatment in department of pediatrics of Jiangsu province hospital of TCM from March 2015 to December 2015, simultaneously filling out the clinic research form of chronic cough in children, and summarizing types of syndrome differentiation and finishing statistical analysis of characteristics of TCM syndrome about this disease according to relevant medical history and auxiliary examination. List every children’s symptom, and then put forward the discriminant function of TCM syndrome by Bayes rule. The results compared with the TCM syndrome that Experts suggest. Finally conducting comparative analysis with literature survey, to put forward clinical law of syndrome differentiation of TCM of pediatric chronic cough.Conclusion:Clinical data of TCM syndrome characteristics of 106 cases of pediatric chronic cough were retrospectively analyzed and significant indicators of syndrome differentiation among which have been studied, we find that there are close relationships between TCM syndrome and the degree of cough、the sputum、nasal obstruction、the pee、 tongue and so on. We find the discriminant function of TCM syndrome which accuracy rate is 96.2%. Final results showed that the pediatric chronic cough can be roughly divided into syndromes such as wind-cold attacking the lung, wind-heat attacking the lung, retention of phlegm-damp in the lung, accumulation of phlegm-heat in the lung, deficiency of lung qi and spleen qi and consumption of lung yin.
