| Purpose:By evaluating differences of clinical efficacy of relieving pain during menstruation between different Danshen Jiangfu Yin prepared by radix salviae miltiorrhizae from different producing areas in primary dysmenorrhea (syndrome of blood stasis due to cold accumulation) for proving influence of original producing area on clinical efficacy.Method:A total of 30 patients with primary dysmenorrhea belonging to the syndrome of blood stasis due to cold accumulation that met inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected to randomize into treatment group and control group after baseline assessment. Danshen Jiangfu Yin prepared by radix salviae miltiorrhizae from Laiwu of Shandong province was given to the treatment group, while Danshen Jiangfu Yin prepared by radix salviae miltiorrhizae from zhongjiang of Sichuan province was gien to the control group. Cross-over treatment in the two groups has lasted for two menstrual cycles. Changes of VAS value, RSS value, total score of DSS and RI value in the two groups were observed to analyze curative effect by intra-group and inter-group comparison before and after treatment.Results:1. There were significant differences of VAS values in the treatment group and control group before and after treatment (both P<0.01). Moreover, there was a significant difference between the two groups in comparing changes of VAS value (P<0.01). In terms of effectively relieving menstrual pain, the treatment group had better efficiency than the control group.2. There were significant differences of RSS values (frequency) in the treatment group (P<0.01) and control group (P<0.05) before and after treatment. What is more, there was a significant difference between the two groups in comparing changes of RSS value (frequency) (P<0.01). Occurrence frequency of menstrual symptoms can be reduced by Danshen Jiangfu Yin, and the effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group. There was a significant difference of RSS value (degree) in the treatment group before and after treatment (P<0.01), while there was no difference in the control group (P>0.05). However, there was a significant difference between the two groups in comparing changes of RSS value (degree) (P<0.01). At the aspect of reducing occurrence degree of menstrual symptoms, the treatment group was superior to the control group.3. There was a significant difference between the two groups in comparing total scores of DSS value (P<0.05). In terms of reducing integral of menstrual symptoms, the treatment group was superior to the control group.4. There were significant differences of RI values in the treatment group and control group before and after treatment (both P<0.01). Moreover, there was a significant difference between the two groups in comparing changes of RI value (P<0.01). And the treatment group was superior to the control group in reducing blood flow resistance of uterine artery by Danshen Jiangfu Yin.Conclusion:There was a certain efficacy of Danshen Jiangfu Yin in treating primary dysmenorrhea, and the Danshen Jiangfu Yin prepared by radix salviae miltiorrhizae from Laiwu of Shandong province was superior to the Danshen Jiangfu Yin prepared by radix salviae miltiorrhizae from zhongjiang of Sichuan province in relieving menstrual pain and menstrual symptoms and reducing blood flow resistance of uterine artery. According to the specific condition in clinic, it will obtain a better clinical efficacy by choosing genuine regional herbs. |
