Clinnical Observation On The Treatment Of Refractory Maxillary Sinus Lesions Patients Who Received Modified Enlargement Operation Of Apertura Maxillaris Under Functional Nasal Endoscopic

Objectives:To investigate the clinnical observation on the treatment of refractory maxillary sinus lesions patients who received modified enlargement operation of apertura maxillaris under functional nasal endoscopic; prove more choices for the surgical treatment of refractory maxillary sinus lesions.Methods:18 refractory maxillary sinus lesions patients received modified enlargement operation of apertura maxillaris under functional nasal endoscopic. All patients wewe on regular follow-up, observe the postoperative clinical effeciency and recurrence. Using the Lund-Kennedy system, including the polyp, edema, running nose, scar, scabby 5 indications, analysis effeciency and recurrence. A survey of symptoms and quality of life was conducted using Visual Analog Score (VAS) symptom instrument and Sino-nasal Outcome Test-20 (SNOT-20) with 18 patients before and after endoscopic sinus surgery, statistical analysis, the differences between preoperative and postoperative. Analysis the subjective improvement of patients.Results:After 6 months following-up, of 18 refractory maxillary sinus lesions patients who received modified enlargement operation of apertura maxillaris under functional nasal endoscopic,15 cases cured(83.3%),2 cases improved(11.1%),1 cases invalid(5.6%). The total of the 20 items scores and 13 items scores of SNOT-20 all began to get better markedly, P<0.05, the difference has statistical significance. The global symptom severity scores of VAS, nasal obstruction, running nose and headache get singnificant improvement, P<0.05, the difference has statistical significance. The subjective improvement of patients, obviously improved 10 cases(55.5%), improved 7 cases(38.9%), no improved 1 cases(5.6%).Conclusion:The postoperative of refractory maxillary sinus lesions patients who received modified enlargement operation of apertura maxillaris under functional nasal endoscopic gains satisfied effect..Has clinical application value, and can provide more choices for surgical treatment of refractory maxillary sinus lesions.
