Objective:To analyze the similarity of composition properties of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions on anti-liver fibrosis with thin layer chromatography(TLC) and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Methods:Compound 861 Granule, Eight-ingredient Anti-fibrosis Decoction, Qianggan Capsule, Fuzheng Huayu Capsule, Huaganxian Granule and Fufang Biejia ruangan Tablet were analyzed. Lipid-soluble method of tanshinone ⅡA and water-soluble method of salvianolic acid B were performed on TLC. Salvianolic acid B and Calycosin glucoside Method were performed on HPLC. The similarity was analyzed by Chromatographic fingerprint similarity evaluation software 2004 A of traditional Chinese medicine.Results:TLC showed that the water soluble components among six prescriptions were significant. The condition of Calycosin glucoside was better than Salvianolic acid B on HPLC. There were ninety-five retention times of six prescriptions accumulatively with Software analysis. The overall similarity and pairwise similarity among six prescriptions were less than 0.9. There were two common peaks among six prescriptions, and were in accordance with the Astragalus herbs as intersection ingredients of six prescriptions.Conclusion:Water soluble components are predominant in six TCM prescriptions of anti-liver fibrosis. There are dozens of components and a small number of overlap ping of retention time in above TCM.There is not similarity among six traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions on anti-liver fibrosis. A few of traditional Chinese m edicine prescriptions may be used in the same disease with liver fibrosis.
