Objective:To investigate the relationships between the changes in interleukin-17,interferon-gamma and coronary artery lesions, cardiac function in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods:Select 90 patients with coronary angiography in June 2014 to June 2015 in the department of cardiology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University. Patients were divided into an acute myocardial infarction(AMI) group(n = 30), an unstable angina pectoris(UAP) group and a control group(n = 30) according to the result of selective coronary angiography.Serum levels of interleukin-17(IL-17)and interferon-gamma(IFN-γ)were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay both after and/or before the standardized hospitalization. And the associattions with the concentration of the two factors and coronary artery lesion severity index and echocardiography parameters were analyzedResults:(1) Serum levels of interleukin-17(AMI group: 44.26±16 pg/ml, UAP group: 38.66±7.87pg/ml) in patients with ACS before the standardized hospitalization including stent implantation were significantly higher than that after the standardized hospitalization including stent implantation(AMI group: 31.37±7.62 pg/mll, UAP group:32.60±10.08 pg/mll),and were significantly higher than that of control group(28.67±14.39 pg/mll). The differences were statistically significant(P < 0.01).(2) Serum levels of interferon-gamma(AMI group: 39.54±5.12pg/ml, UAP group: 35.24±6.02pg/ml) in patients with ACS before the standardized hospitalization including stent implantation were significantly higher than that after the standardized hospitalization including stent implantation(AMI group: 34.15±6.01 pg/ml, UAP group:32.60±10.08 pg/ml),and were significantly higher than that of control group(24.5±4.42pg/ml). The differences were statistically significant(P <0.01).(3) Correlation analysis showed that serum levels of interleukin-17 and interferon-gamma in ACS patients before or after the standardized hospitalization had no significant correlation with Gensini score.(4) Serum levels of IL-17 from different numbers of coronary artery lesion in ACS patients were: single-lesion: 46.25±18.51 pg/m L, double-lesions: 40.41±14.28 pg/m L, multi-lesions:40.35±7.29 pg/m L. Serum levels of IFN-γ from different numbers of coronary artery lesion in ACS patients were: single-lesion: 38.47±6.29 pg/m L, double-lesions: 38.94±5.62 pg/m L, multi-lesions:35.42±5.78 pg/m L; The differences between groups weren’t statistically significant(P>0.05).(5) Compared with control group, LVEF in patients with ACS was significantly lower(P<0.01),FS was lower(P<0.05).(6) Correlation analysis showed that serum level of IL-17 was positively correlated with was negatively correlated with LVEF(r=-0.283,P<0.05)in patients with ACS.Moreover, the level of IL-17 was positively correlated with IFN-γ(r=0.358, P<0.01).Conclusion:(1) Serum level of interleukin-17 and interferon-gamma were gradually increased in UAP group、AMI group before the standardized hospitalization, and which were significantly higher than that of control group. While, the levels of the both in patients with ACS after the standardized hospitalization were decreased than before, which suggested that elevated levels of the both may be involved in the origination and development of ACS.However, their level does not directly reflect the severity of coronary lesions.(2) Correlation analysis showed that serum levels of interleukin-17 in all patients with chest pain before the standardized hospitalization has a low correlation with interferon-gamma,suggesting that interleukin-17 and interferon-gamma may have a synergistic effect on the occurrence of ACS.(3) The level of interleukin-17 and interferon-gamma in ACS patients after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty was significantly lower than that before. The results indicated that percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplastyas,as the most effective method to treat coronary heart disease, can not only relieve the clinical symptoms of ACS patients, but also reduce the inflammatory reaction.
