Objective:To investigate the efficiency of endovascular therapy for Iliac vein compression syndrome(IVCS) with lower limb deep venous thrombosis(DVT).Methods: A total of 103 patients with IVCS and DVT were enrolled from January 2014 to August 2015.All patients received anticoagulation treatment once diagnosed DVT, and underwent popliteal vein puncture under the guidance of color doppler, then Catheter-directed thrombolysis was performed in the center of the intervention. According to the clearance of thrombus and degree of iliac vein compression,we conducted balloon angioplasty and stent placement. Results: Swelling and pain eased/faded within 7ds since therapy,it was confirmed by venography of deep vein to show clearance of vein thrombus>95%(grade Ⅲ), 101 patients received PTA, 87 stent.Rate of complete swelling subside was 88.35%(91/103),significantly alleviated5.83%(6/103),the other 5.83%(6/103)were not obvious and invalid. The differences between the leg circumference of the normal and affectedextremities at 15 cm above and below the knee joint at time of discharge were all less than those at admission(both P<0.05). The follow up patency rate at 1 month was 98.97%(96/97), 3 month was 96.34%(79/82), 6months was 91.78%(67/73).Conclusion: Endovascular therapy for iliac vein compression syndrome with lower limb venous thrombosis has demonstrable efficacy with fast recovery, it can be an effective method to solve the problem of patients with iliac vein compression.
