Objective: To investigate the risk factors relevant to deep venous thrombosis after stent implantation for iliac vein compression syndrome(IVCS).Methods: To collect the basic information, surgical records, hospitalization course, and auxiliary examinations of 268 patients who were diagnosed with IVCS and iliac vein stents in our hospital from January 2015 to January 2017,and the patients were divided into two groups according to whether or not they had deep vein thrombosis of lower extremity after operation. The patients with DVT after operation were divided into two groups: group A(group A)and group B(group B without DVT).Age,sex, combined underlying disease, fistula stenosis, combined stenting,DVT,varicose veins of the lower extremities, venous ulcers, formation of lateral branches of the iliac veins, and stenting into the inferior vena cava(IVC)The length and whether or not it covers the diseased segments, coagulation parameters and other risk factors were analyzed by univariate analysis and multivariate Cox regression analysis. Results: DVT occurred in a total of 24 patients. The statistical analysis of the risk factors influencing complicated DVT after stent implantation revealed that DVT before stent implantation, the length of stent inserting the inferior vena cava > 1 cm,fibrinogen and D-dimer contents during follow-up were the risk factors influencing the occurrence of DVT after stent implantation. No correlations were found between age, gender or degree of IVCS and the occurrence of DVT after stent implantation. The Cox regression analysis of the risk factors showed that high fibrinogen and D-dimer contents during follow-up were the promoting factors of complicated DVT.Conclusion: The recurrence rate of DVT is higher in the patients with DVT before stent implantation than those without DVT.In addition, stent that is too long inserted the inferior vena cava is a risk factor influencing the occurrence of DVT.Moreover, the recurrence rate of DVT is high in the patients with high fibrinogen and D-dimer contents during follow-up.
